Played a bit last night and managed to get myself out to 3knk unscathed to do a stock take. Its going to be a lot of hassle moving everything out so I may just leave it all there.

Also came up with some nice t3 wormhole fits for the legion, tengu and proteus but i’m not sure which one to go for. I think i’m leaning towards the legion.

The exploration changes are a bit worrying if its too easy as I used to like a bit of exploration to make isk. Most of the isk came from DED sites though and I guess they haven’t changed? Soloing serp 10/10s was always a nice cash injection 😈
They were pretty rare around syndicate though.

    Whats the current fotm?

Basically you can buy PLEX with in game money which gives you game time. 600 mil isk is a bit steep for a month though, it used to be about half that amount.

To expand a little on this, there are 2 types of plex users. Those who purchase a plex with isk in order to extend their game time without having to pay real money and on the other hand, there are those that purchase plex for real money to sell in game to make isk.

Yep, plex is an actual in game item that you can trade on the market or convert to game time. You can buy them direct from CCP or you can buy a gtc from any retailer and then convert it to plex. 60 day GTC = 2 plex.

I’m still subbed but just don’t have the time for it at the moment. I’ve bee keeping up with the new developments and balance changes which all look fantastic. The warp speed changes for rubicon will really change the dynamics as well. If I ever do go back there will be a hell of a lot to re-learn.

1 server crash and 1 client crash tonight and i wasn’t even playing that long really. Why is it so hard for them to sort this out, with their experience from BF3 you’d expect this one to be easy to get right.

Nice, stopped playing it shortly after it launched I think. From what I remember the infiltrator class was the weakest one of the lot.

Fixed most of my performance problems and its been playing pretty smoothly apart from the random crashes.

Gameplay wise I’m liking it. I’ve really got to grips with the sniping mechanics and with so many useful tools the recon class is an absolute beast. They’ve pretty much buffed all of the 9mm pistols as well which is handy because it takes ages to unlock them! DMRs suck though which is a bit of a shame. SKS is kind of usable but there are better options now with the carbines. Does anybody use PDWs over carbines for the engineer? I cant see any reason you’d want to really. The ACW is the second carbine unlock you get and its a complete monster. They also didn’t nerf the burst on the AKU-12 like they did on the AK-12 so it still does 1000rpm 😈

Sounds like they’ve made some nice improvements. I may give it another go at some point but BF4 and other games are taking my time at the moment. Loads must have changed since I last played!

Hopefully that will fix it. I’ve sorted out my performance problems but still getting crashes although they are far enough apart that I can live with them. Nothing worse then crashing out of a full server and then having to queue to get back in though.

I’m running SLI 680’s at the moment which are basically the same as the 770’s you’re looking at. Performance wise they are excellent and I’ve never had any scaling issues but a single card solution is always going to be better. 2GB of vram isn’t really that much either. At 1440p, I can’t run BF4 with ultra settings as I run out of vram, even with no AA at all which is a bit annoying really as the GPUs have the power to do it.

If you are just running at 1080p then I’d personally be looking at a single 780 if you want an nvidia card. You can pick up a gigabyte windforce pre overclocked version for less then £400.

Its a bit of a mess tbh. Servers crash occasionally, game crashes regularly and i get pretty terrible performance issues. To run it smoothly I’m having to run a mix of high and medium settings with no AA which just isn’t right.

I had a similar problem installing the plugin. Didnt seem to do anything after the install but restarting my browser sorted it. If that doesn’t work then try a different browser as the plugins are browser specific and it might just be an issue with that one.

Even people with beastly computers are having FPS problems so i’d say that is something they are going to be improving before release. What we’re playing definitely seems like an older build to what has been shown on youtube.

There are some small changes that are pretty easy to miss at first. Off the top of my head:

Small medi packs and ammo packs get thrown at the person you’re aiming at so the further away they are, the further you throw it. You can chuck them things pretty far!

All sniper rifles can be zeroed with the Z key. The laser designator also has a range finder so you can use that and then set the correct range. The laser designator is also infra red so you can use it to quickly scan an area to spot any enemies. See’s through all the smoke after the building collapses as well and can be zoomed in with the T key.

If you go up to a corner, your gun will tilt slightly, when this happens you can peak around the corner by aiming down sight. When you stop aiming down sight you lean back into cover

RPGs lock on to laser designated targets (I don’t think this is going to be in release though)

Small ammo packs don’t refill C4 or grenades. I’ve never seen anybody use the big ammo boxes so don’t know about them

Its pretty good over all. The lifts are cool but they are so obviously just teleporters which is kind of annoying, I hope they fix that. The map itself is ok but seems like a major clusterfuck most of the time with no real rhythm to it.
