Its ugly, huge and clunkey and £100 more then the vita and runs on android? I really dont see it taking off. Just buy a vita if you want a handheld

Prove to me you can get a machine EXACTLY LIKE THIS for at least 200 quid cheaper than PC specialist are selling it for and post links to the components you have sourced.
It needs to be pre overclocked – but plenty of component sellers will sell you overclocked chips.
I would argue that setting up all the system and troubleshooting it is worth a fair bit too – but lets just take that out of the equation.
Genuinely wanting to see an answer to this.
I don’t think you can buy pre overclocked chips on there own as its the motherboard that does all of the overclocking. At the very least you’d be looking at a pre overclocked barebones system but i’ll have a look when i’ve got time and see what i can come up with 🙂

Its also worth noting that nvidia’s 700 series is coming out this month as well as intels next gen chips next month so might be worth waiting a bit before you upgrade.
The GTX 780 will be using the same chip as the titan with less cores active, the 770 will be using a new version of the chip in the current 680 and will perform better.
That’s a very nice setup. I’ve always wanted to go triple monitor but my desk just isn’t big enough 🙁

Yeah true but steam also sell them at retail price so thats not a surprise.
But EA seem to have whacked £15 on all their games. Sim city is still £35 on amazon but tomb raider is now £20 and they were both released on the same day. Tomb raider was £30 on release just like every other PC game that hasn’t got an EA logo on.

I have been through all the settings in dayz. Even tweaked the ini files which did help a bit. I also bought a second 680 for sli last week and i haven’t really tried dayz properly since so hopefully it will be a lot better now.
Well i’m normally around 40 or 50 fps in dayz. It only drops down to the 20s in the big cities with loads of zombies spawned as they are really badly optimized and i’m pretty sure its the CPU thats choking trying to work out all there movement physics. I think they’ve limited the zombie spawns in the new version though so it should sort it out a bit.

Well to be honest i havent used an AMD card for years and years but i always remember driver cleaner pro being the go to bit of software, there drivers have always been horrible!
The 670 is a really nice card, overclockes to near 680 levels pretty easy as well from what i’ve heard. Should help with DayZ a bit but it wont be that much compared to the improvement you’ll see in other games. With a 680, my fps was dropping down to the low 20s in big cities with no AA and some of the settings turned down a bit 😕
Sounds like fun. Alternatively you can use something like driver cleaner which will do it in 5 seconds flat
What card did you upgrade too?
I knew they were making more but didnt know it would be a direct follow on with the same cast :O
I’m not worried about Disney making them tbh. They make some damn good films and not having lucas directing is probably a good thing. Looking forward to watching them.

They’ve rewritten the engine and moved all the important stuff server side which should make it as hack resistant as any modern game according to rockets blog. Gonna stick to private hives until this version comes out. Can’t wait!
