I might if it’s the 16 player version. The 64 is too big IMHO.

i heard about this remake months ago and the fuss it was causing about the name of the dog also being the code word for the success of the mission, its not “politically correct” so i’m interested to see how they get around it.

They’re gonna be remaking Zulu too. Although Michael Caine’s role is being played by Will Smith and Chris Rock plays and American GI sent to show the British how to fight.

Oh and they’re not fighting the Zulus, they fighting the KKK.

Game looks fab. Bloody great robots stomping around, plasma cannons, heli-jets etc. Awesome!!!

But I brought BF2 for some contemporary combat action, like OFP, DOD and other similar titles. I like space games too, but that’s a seperate genre, and as is clear here, it’ll be a different group of people who’ll play it.

I’m sure that when it’s released they’ll be loads of servers hosting it, but you’ll have to play with the usual smacktards that you get on the EA Servers. If it’s hosted here at XDC I’ll buy it, if not then I won’t bother.

Looks good, but in this case it’s not the game but the people who play it that make it fun.

The only regulars I don’t know about are Alzir, Sebgros, Dutchman, T00thbrush, Badger, Queeks, The Clan McMorgan, Munkee, Wolf and his bro. Although I suspect that most of them have Euro Forces. I’ve got the up-to-date list of who has what on the first post of this thread.

For most of us though, it looks like the Euro Forces maps should be put into circulation on the server.

Yeah, I know I can talk crap with the best of them and sometimes it’s a laugh. But if you’re trying to get your head down and just play properly, it’s a pain when somebody is going on and on about something not game related.

that s all you ll get from some ppl 😀 😀 😀

Personally I think we should have an XDC training night when we all squad up on one team and just have a TS channel for ourselves. No nonsense, just trying to improve our gameplay, tactics and communications.

it has been tried several times and some will say “it gets unbalanced and ppl on the other side can t cope with our l33t SkillZZzzzzz ” then again 😉 😉 😉

Well I know I’m l33t. Except when I’m on foot. Or in a ground vehicle. Or in a chopper etc.

However, Messy, Divie and Cerby are nearly always on our server these days, so they could form the opposing force, and they’re certainly not a bunch of n00bs.

It’s also a bit annoying when you’re using squadspeak with somebody not on TS and you’re tring to hear what their saying.

I’m not a big fan of Little Britain. Too many catchphrases and jokes that rely on you being repulsed, rather than amused. However I do find the ‘fat fighters’ stuff that they do quite funny. Harry Enfield started all this catchphrase stuff, with Loadsa Money et al, but he didn’t just go “hmm, I don’t know how to finish this sketch. I know I’ll have an old lady piss herself.”

Mighty Boosh was good, particularly the episode ‘Nanageddon’. In fact I thought that episode was so good I wrote in to the BBC to tell them to give the Boosh guys a raise.

The IT crowd was just warming up. Give it another series and they’d have found their niche. The cast is top notch, but the characters have too many facets to be instantly understood, which is what most comedies rely on. e.g.

Here’s Joey Tribbiani – He’s the dumb one
    Here’s Ross Gellar – He’s a twat
    Here’s Chandler Bing – He’s a prick

An old school friend of mine used to be a doorman at one of our local pubs, but he eventually quit. He had no real trouble from the guys (he’s about 6′ 2″ and weighed about 15 stone), because very few of them were stupid enough to pick a fight with him, but the girls had no such qualms. They’d slap him, scratch him, try to knee him in the groin and one bird even bit him.

Don’t worry about the blokes Munkee, what out for their GF’s.

I always remember the line in bit in Hamburger Hill, when one of the soldiers who’s on his fourth tour or something, tells teh story about how he gets off a plane and there are peace protesters thowing dog shit at him, saying that they wished he was dead. His own country hated him so he’d rather stay in Vietnam. This isn’t quite the same thing, but imagine the soldiers out in teh gulf seeing those placards, it isn’t good for morale.

Turks is right about Fox News, but they are very biased. If it had been the BBC though they’d probably have agreed with her. As soon as they turned the argument around on her though, she didn’t like it much. Don’t pass judgement on others or you will get judged too.

Those are some really good pictures though Turks, seriously good.

The colours are superb and the framing is also spot on. Have you done a photography course of summat?

Looks like his mates have all taken rohypnol though. Their fellow soldier gets a breech block slamming into his chest and they stand around like they’re monged out of their brains.
