Welcome to the boards Wheels. The XDC server is where it’s at for a thoroughly good game. We get lots of regulars stopping by too, which kinda shows how popular we are.
I often play on others servers if I just want to blast away mindlessly, or do a bit of sniping, but most of them are pants. When one of our admins is online though, you can’t go far wrong with ours. Unless it crashes. Which it does quite a lot.

I find the worst thing you can do is go into a game aiming to get dogtags. Just wait until a target presents itself and then get stabbing.

Have a chat with the elusive Cowboy. He owns a WoW guild with a fair number of players called ‘And the Wheelies’. I believe they have team members of all levels.
Cowboy and some of the other guild members are real WoW experts, so they’ll be able to give you some great advice.

The guy said stuff he shouldn’t, but I can’t help but think that the news people were either winding him up or had been pissing him off. I saw another interview where he humbly appologised for what he’d said.
He was standing up for a mate and got carried away IMHO.
However I do think we should nuke Vancover, just to get even.

However, as a word of warning, the XDC server is very tightly controlled by some hawkeyed admins. We use TS as well, so if somebody is taking the pi$$ then they will be booted, and quickly at that. The rules on the 2142 server say that there shall be no raping or attacking the uncaps. That includes artillery strikes.

It was invented by a guy at my school called Scott Thomas, who made it up for his ‘what did you do during the holiday’ essay: “I went to ‘Scotland’ to visit my nan.” The teacher caned him, but the name stuck and since that time I’ve noticed more and people have be claiming to come from ‘Scotland’, or as we told him it should be called: I’m-a-thicky-willy-face-who-smells-of-poo-land. What’s more embarrassing is that my wifes’ dad claims to come from Scotland. I’m going to put him in a headlock and give him a Chinese burn next time he mentions that.

I’ve got an old 6600 card, which’ll let me play 2142 on ‘medium’ settings at 1024×768 with AA on. The game still looks ‘pretty’, but it has a lot of trouble on the titan maps. So much that I often can’t fight onboard a titan due to the frame rate dropping to something like 10 or 12.
Roll on a nice ‘new’ 1950XT (when I’ve got some money).
