ParticipantJebus. Sorry to hear that LeGit, but glad you’re in one piece.
So am I right in assuming it was a hit and run?
That sucks big time.

Neon – it’s affected, not effected. If you’re affected by a game, it’s the game’s effects that effected that effect or affectation. Clear? 😆
Hmph. Your comments have had no affect on me.

ParticipantI’ve heard that Max’s hacks are actually written into the code of the Battlefield series and are therefore not recognised as a ‘cheat’. He managed to get this done by blackmailing the EA chirman with some uncompromising photographs.

In summary: Very good, but would have preferred Battlefield 2012 instead.
So that would be BF2 then…. 😉
Erm… Yeah 🙂

I had some fucking great games of 2142 instead… Managed to pick up 4 knife kills within 30 seconds in one game! Huzzah!
Can’t quite beat that, but I did play on a German server which was running conquest only and told my squad to defend our one remaining flag. A bunch of snipers thought it’d be good to do a bit of spawn rapage and proceeded to camp out on a hill overlooking the flag. So I ran up around behind them and knifed 3 and was about to slice open the last one when he leapt to his feet (his buddies on TS must have warned him), and bunny hopped like a mad one. I emptied my SMG at him, but he was still on his feet with pistol drawn, so I Pilum’ed him at point blank.
Oh how I laughed.

ParticipantI begrudingly agree with the Badger.
I think 2142 is much better balanced that BF2, although it’s still a bit too console-like. All the classes have their strengths and even the engy/AT sidearm actually works. The unlocks keep you playing and the new point system normally keeps your squad following orders.
Titan mode is okay, although I still prefer conquest maps. A map in the same vein as Wake Island, with a Titan instead of a battleship might have been an interesting game though.
In summary: Very good, but would have preferred Battlefield 2012 instead.

Happy birthday to you all, but I’m afraid only one of you qualifies for the patented ‘NeonSamurai Birthday Kiss’.

ParticipantAn old friend of mine was a motocycle courier, travelling in and around London. One day he’s in his hometown of Aylesbury and pulls up at a roundabout, waiting for a chance to pull out and for a moment takes his hands off the handlebars and straightens his back. A woman in a Cavalier hits him from behind and he lands on her bonnet, smashing her windscreen with his head. His bike, on the other hand, goes under the front wheels of a truck. Appart from bruises and ‘a sore arse’ he was fine.
Had he been leaning forward on the bike though he’d have been pushed out in front of the truck. The woman’s excuse?
“Sorry I didn’t see you!”

I generally don’t avoid watching films ‘cos they look bad, but because I know they’re gonna wind me up. Here’s the ones I’ve avoided thus far:
Legally Blonde
Legally Blonde 2
First Wives Club

Steel Magnolias
Powder
Any film which involves peacful aliens being ‘misunderstood’
Any film with the tag line ‘follow your heart’ or ‘be true to your heart’Koala watches a lot of girly films me thinks, in touch with our feminine side are we? 😉
Badger, that’s a horrid, horrid thing to say! You’ve hurt my feelings. I’m going to have a little cry now.

“And then… (sniff) And then Badger said I liked (sniff) girly films.”“Cheer up Neon. Would it make you feel better if you fetched me a beer and made dinner whilst I watched the footie?”
“(Sniff) Yeah…”

ParticipantI’ve played on an EA 2142 ‘Deathmatch’ server. Basically it’s just like a conquest game except members of your own team TK you so that they can take vehicles, or because they think it’s funny. You end up with a very low score though 🙁

He damn fucking better be 😡
I got whiplash when I wiped out on a snowboard in Canada, although did nothing about it at the time. Couldn’t sleep for days, because my neck hurt if I moved it. I should have gone to a doctor, but I didn’t and went into work.
As a result it took months until the problem went away. If you haven’t already, I suggest you go and see a doctor mate. It’s definately worth it.

ParticipantSorry to hear about your crash Hippy, but at least you’re in one piece.
Plus damages (compensation) from whiplash can be quite rewarding. One of my exe’s got about £4K when she was in a car crash.

ParticipantWolf you are such an old woman. Just because some guys do narly things (how did I know it was ‘narly’ ‘cos they all said it was, every 5 minutes), that doesn’t mean we should try and limit their Xtreme (which I’ve spelt in an extreme way) lifestyles. Although if they were doing all this in the US, don’t their mountain rescue teams have credit card swipes to check the potential victims credit balance 😉
However I think Divine Comedy summed it up better in a song:
ThrillSeeker
When you hang by a thread
Strange things go through your head
What was in that woodshed?
Will death be gentle?
“;Better to live one day like a lion
Than a thousand sheepishly”;,
Say dead oriental…I’m a thrillseeker honey¡ªI can’t help it
I would kill for that feeling now I’ve felt it
I’m a thrillseekerIf you live by the sword
You will reap your reward
Death by faulty rip-cord or loose caribiner
But it’s my absolute right
To kill myself if I like
And now it looks like I might’ve finally succeeded
And I don’t careWhen they finally come
I’ll be stuck there like gum
Frying under the sun¡ªeggs over easy
But it’s my triumph of will
Just to stay alive ’til
They’ve spent several million trying to save me
Albeit vainly
I don’t want your moneyI’m a thrillseeker honey¡ªI can’t help it
I’d kill for that feeling now I’ve felt it
It’s the cruellest of hands but I’ve been dealt it
I can see it, I can feel it, I hear it -
