that may well be the cause. if possible never play any FPS/ fast pace action games over wireless.

be interested to know if that is the cause

Turks, do the test in the evening rather than in the morning. i had loads of issues with Virgin during peak times when it was fine during off peak

eve has been out for almost 10 years and yet so few other companies have made an MMO with the design basis of eves PVP. and it amazes me because it is still the most complex, in depth and involving gameplay experience of any MMO and noone has made a success of using those features in a different environment (fantasy etc)
some have tried and failed but that is more down to the fact that they were so awful in every other aspect rather than using eve template. eve has had every player in the same server shooting each other, and yes at times the lag is awful, but i remember pvping when the game first came out and i was using 56k dial up and it was still playable in smaller engagements (although the number of players was signifgantly less than it is now)

time will tel how PS2 does but i hope it does really well and not cater to the fucking carebears! shoot them in the face and listen to them scream

i have only played it briefly, but i think as messy says, it needs a squad working together with comms to make it a good game. its definately not a lone wolf mode and running on foot is out of the question as the maps are too large.

i need to spend some more time playing but i can see it being ok once you get to know the maps

“The question is whether the game is coded with an unnecessary animation, or has the coding not been correctly synced with the graphic? Who are we to answer that – and why do you want to?

Now of course there are extreme exploits, like hacking, holes in maps, which are all obviously beyond the reach of an argument, but when you look at something like the example in this thread, it does present a dilemma of where you draw the line. “

these are all exploits. the end. no ifs/buts or any other excuse. varying degrees of impact on the game but all exploits. whatever ones stance is on them they are all exploits and its up to the users/admin on how they want to deal with it or use them.

with regards to getting “pro” gamers to test games, they will never find all the issues, secondly how long did it take these “pro” gamers to find these exploits? were they available at launch or are they now occuring due to a patch?

the real crux of any exploit is how the dev team deal with them, which in the case of BF3 is piss poor. they take too long to fix things.

this is an exploit a bit like the dolphin diving in BF2. hope it gets fixed soon as its a fairly big deal to being able to instantly be revived and shoot the main weapon

the m16 becomes almost recoiless 🙂 and in a game where its about putting more bullets into the enemy in the same amount of time it helps. its not great at range though so it needs to be weighed up on some maps
