It does remind me of the special forces pack i bought and barely used as shown by the lack of achievments
Reinstall that if you can mate, some of the SF maps are good fun, and most of us playing atm have it.
I still need to sit transporting players for 10 minutes to get my next rank 😕 Fuck that was the first thought, but there’s still a couple of the unlocks that might be useful.
I was actually planning on going PC with this one but if the majority go xbox…
Given the number of us I’ve seen playing MW2 recently on steam, I think the majority of us are still on PC. I had thought the split was 50 50 until recently, but it’s probably more like 60 40 in favour of the pc.
Damn, I’ve spent less than 600 quid on my pc over the last 5 years and that includes the games bought! Still runs everything pretty well too.
How crap was yours not to be able to run a football management game though? All you need for that is a cpu and some ram.

Yea that guy on smoke screen was ridiculously good, and we couldn’t even find where he was when Jonny and me went up in a chopper ourselves. People like that are the reason I’ve been preferring infantry servers lately, and certainly avoiding maps like Kubra Dam, Gulf of Oman, and Dragon Valley where air power dominates.
I wonder how they’ll address the air power imbalance in Bad Company 2, it’s a been a constant irritation in the BF series and they really should have a look at it. Double the time it takes for aircraft to respawn, reduce the ammo, and/or make them more vulnerable to small arms fire/give us portable AA like in vietnam (only make it easier to use).
Don’t worry guys, noone’s perfect. You’ll just miss out on the brand new XDC server planned for this.
If you were listening in on TS yesterday you could’ve been forgiven in thinking we hated the game, given the frustration at times! Then all of a sudden everything came together and we had an awesome couple of rounds, with several of us hitting the medals after winning the map. Good games all weekend though, and good to see Max and Turks on last night, although both of you need to get TS up and running properly (don’t know why we couldn’t hear you last night turks, except during map change and out of game).
A few of us are playing consoles, not all mate 🙂
I think I’ve spotted 5 or 6 XDC now playing MW2, and I bought it myself there on Saturday. Give us your steam name/email and I’ll send you an invite to the XDC steam group.
As Max says, there are a few of us who’ve reinstalled BF2 lately, and we’re properly addicted to it again. Feel free to join us there as well 🙂
I had been convinced not to get it by you lot, but 2 guys in work have talked me around, and interestingly 3 people have ticked the top option on this poll since last I checked. The guys in work were actually surprised when I asked them about the multiplayer player problems, as they hadn’t noticed, and were not aware of the dedicated server issue (they did frown at that one, but had no complaints about their experiences). The single player is short, but tbh that doesn’t bother me much since you wouldn’t complain about a film being 2 hours long if it’s good. The multiplayer and coop sides of the game are much more interesting to me having spoken to these guys, and considering the number of XDC I see playing this on steam, who’ve not spoken up, I’m going out today to find a cheap copy from Tesco.
Aye it’s been available for the last few days to those of us who preordered, though I haven’t been arsed trying it yet. I’ll be up for some games later and over the weekend though, as I heard it’s good from Bluesnake.
Sounds like fun guys, don’t forget to give us some updates on the matches etc 🙂

Nothing wrong with an interest in your own stats imho. It’s only when people go out of their way to artificially maniuplate them, that I consider it whoring.
