I don’t think I’ve ever had as long a session at one game as yesterday playing BF2. I was off work so had plenty of time during the afternoon with Paddy for a game, but just as we were winding down, Jar, Spunker, Nom, and Lammie appeared in quick succession and I quickly found a second wind 🙂 The two rounds of Operation Blue Pearl, when we had Jar then Spunker commanding, were the highlight of the day for me. The communication between the squad and the commander was some of the best I can remember, and proved decisive in helping our 4 man XDC squad dominate the rounds.
We lost a couple of people after that map as it switched to Karkand, but Nom and myself persevered with what proved a difficult next round, but then sadly ended up on opposite teams for the round after that. That was when I discovered I haven’t lost any of my knack for driving over Nom’s AT mine’s, and seriously mate I can’t remember the last time anyone’s got me so many times in a round with mines! Snell then turned up slightly before Nom left us, and we had some mixed games on the more vehicle orientated maps, before Silversides joined us briefly (having tried to get hold of us earlier in the evening) and Paddy returned for some late night rounds (although I forgot to ask him to sing for us). I think it was 4am by the time I turned BF2 off, having started it around 2pm!
Great seeing so many people on TS and in the games during the day, it was the first time in a long time that I’ve been completely unable to put a game down for such long periods. Also if there’s one thing I’ve taken away from yesterday, and the last few days, it’s how much more fun a game is with proper teamwork in action with you guys. More please!

Given that I even dreamt BF2, and that I have “pupple malwupple mashaw” (or whatever that arabic “enemy spotted” line is) echoing around my head today, you may have a point 😆

Im amazed at how addictive this is after putting it down for 3 years!
think ive tried to fit in a few games every day since I got it working againyour stats are still there and scary too! 😯

That’s exactly what’s hooked me on the game again, and I think our communication’s improving a lot with the amount of practice we’ve been getting in. Would be interesting to see how this affects our play in TF2.
Have to thank Matt and Paddy, for the enjoyable games last night.
I would of loved to be on the TS of the the squad (all one clan), that I C4’d as they all tried to cap a flag, on Mash.
p.s they then hunted me for the rest of the round 😆
OMG had forgotten how good this game really is! Getting right back in to it again, come back XDCER’S – esp. Fluffy!
If you were listening in on TS yesterday you could’ve been forgiven in thinking we hated the game, given the frustration at times! Then all of a sudden everything came together and we had an awesome couple of rounds, with several of us hitting the medals after winning the map. Good games all weekend though, and good to see Max and Turks on last night, although both of you need to get TS up and running properly (don’t know why we couldn’t hear you last night turks, except during map change and out of game).
make sure your mic boost is on both in and out of the game (the option in game is in the audio options unsurprisingly!)
