It’s certainly not the most convenient place to get to from back home, but probably a flight to Manchester, then the train down is the best way. A flight to london, and the train up may be just as handy.
I’m up for it, but have struggled to get it working online from behind whatever firewalls the uni network has in place 🙁
Pretty sure hamachi would solve the problem, but we all would need to use it.

afaik it’s a standalone game now as Beer says, but started off as a mod for Unreal (2004?).
They even had the audacity to say “Well you’re here to work, what do you need to play games for?”

Well a year and a half ago it was quite good, still is I suppose, and certainly not bad for 200 notes 😉 but point is 2142 works just fine with a gig of ram.
I have a similar pc setup but i have half a gig more ram, i have to play bf with everything turned down.
I’ve only a 1 gig of ram in this machine and can play with everything turned up as high as it goes, the chip’s worse than wheelsy’s as well.
Eve Online – it’s only good when you get involved in the fighting but then it’s really good!
Oh and incidently, my interest in it has nothing to do with it being “futuristic”. I don’t actually role play as such I just like to shoot a lot of things, and the quality of teamplay in eve is just out of this world (no pun intended).

Well the TS server I mainly use on eve was recently upgraded to improve quality, and it is much better than the XDC TS server. Any ventrillo server I’ve tried, have been better than even that one, so I’m a convert. I’m not bothered which we use in the end though, and actually you can use both at the same time.
