Just to clarify, the crash issues referred to by rackage are server side crashes, i.e. Everyone dumped off servr, amd not client side ones which will i’m sure eventually sorted via client side patches. Our server has crashed on occasion but seems more stable since game release.
That’s it now nom, and it does look good on your machine, similar to how BC2 looked I suppose, by way of comparison. Still try and save up for that upgrade though, as you’ll notice an improvement in your play the nearer you get to 60 fps.
Don’t worry about talking Chaos, it can help even to hear people calling a target out behind you sometimes, though mostly it’s us swearing about one thing or another 🙂 What’s the android app you’re referring to?
Haven’t tried changing my rate of fire on any gun yet but since the weekend i’ve been loving the infrared sight.
Paddy, where are you getting your information regarding upcoming nerfs and boosts to guns though? I’ve been watching a few sites but none that have provided any information on game patches.
Report from rackage since R8’s deployment is that GSP’s are finding the new patch much more stable than R7, although still not crash free.
lol some difference. Should dig around for some posts around here where no doubt we were all spellbound by the amazing gfx in BF2 at the time 🙂
Sadly I recognise that second comparison as being slightly incorrect, as I’m sure the first part of it is Gulf of Oman (near construction yard I think), rather than Sharqui in the BF3 version. Yes yes, call me a geek…or Paddy (Dave).
edit: Actually is that first bf2 screen from gulf of oman as well? Just a top down of the second area.

Been away for a while. I was playing bad company but not very much. Really enjoying BF3 atm.

I’m certainly interested, and agree with your sentiments re the BF spirit in large games. Our experience from earlier titles though is that 16 v 16 games are very difficult to organise, and normally involve pulling in friends from other groups to help boost the sides, with each side scrambling at the last minute to make up numbers. I don’t know if you ever got involved with the Jolt league a few years back for bf42, but it was quite the nightmare for team leaders even just trying to pull together a team of 12 🙂 I do like the idea though, so we’ll check who’d be interested in this internally, then get back to you as soon as possible.
Out of interest have you guys been playing BF games for long?
I’m having other problems but this is one thankfully that I’ve not noticed affecting me. For those of you with ati cards, are you uptodate with the drivers released last monday?
