Fair enough… Though to some extent kickstarting a project like this ie partly done from altruism… I.e. pay the cash to help make sure the thing gets off the ground in the first place regardless of what you get back.
I love the wee video they did for it. More power to their elbow! Only thing missing is someway to provide meaningful tactile feedback to limit aimless swonging about. Strwight away i am imagining some sort of powered harness that you wear on your sword arm that brings your sword to qn qbrupt halt when you hit bone etc.
Would recommend snow crash to anyome who likes a bit of sci fi by the way. Has various interesting ideas that may turn out to be on the money.

Its got fuck all to do with HC Max, I know several people who are very reluctant to play on non HC servers. It is quite simple… to get the server running you need some people to start it up each day. Whenever we have organised to do this on TS it has filled up pretty quick – HC or non hardcore. I dont have an issue if people want to swap the modes every few days, but lets not lose sight of what the actual problem is.
Issues as far as i see are… a lot of the heavy XDC players from earlier on just dont seem to play much now.
Those who are around seem very reluctant to seed the server – last night Ben was saying that even though there was a game on XDC HC sharqi… someone was on a different HC sharqi server and didnt want to swap 🙂 Quite often when I got on there are 3 or 4 peeps on my friends list playing over 2 or even 3 servers…. none of these servers being ones we pay for!
I understand people want to just get in a game when they get home from a hard days work – not criticising anyone. Just saying how it is.
BTW – there is still a hardcore who play a fair bit of squad rush most nights… every single time we get 2 players or more on our 8 man server it has been full within 5 mins. People should give it a try if they want a quick game with XDC peeps.
OK – inspired by stalkers vid I have been whoring that shottie all week.
Really enjoying the game afresh – totally different style of gameplay. Getting lots of kills near and far.
One question though… why the sniper scope? The *6 distance is not really used much for that weapon. The acog has less glint and at *4 is probably the sweet spot for distance? No? Also slightly faster to pull up.
If not – why not?

We had awesome games last night on the hardcore XDC server. Squad rush is the rolls royce of BF3 games guys – join us!
Been having sessions from about 11 onwards most nights.
Been me, spunks, manic, wolf on a lot – with guest appearances from turks, gwadion and cognac. Would be great to get 4vs 4 xdc.
Max turns up sometimes to moan about not being able to get 50 kills in a round or whatever it is he does in conquest… but you can mute him. 🙂
