My question: If I insist that the money is paid by bank transfer, is there any way she can get the funds back once it has hit my account?
My other question: Can I get shafted via the postal process? ie in extra fees?Confused.com What do you think?
I’m always wary of people asking things to be posted overseas. I’m sure something will come up at some point during the transaction that requires you to do something else but I guess with paypal you are protected. Just make sure you withdraw the funds from paypal into your bank account and it’s cleared before sending it.
But it still sounds fishy.

Oh fuck yeah, that’s a scam mate, tell her to go fuck herself, nothing good will come of this, I promise you. Had it been France of something, but I’d be careful mate. I’d skip any hassle and tell her to do one.
I had the same thing when I sold an iPhone on gumtree, so many people e-mailed me from Nigeria it was unreal. They are scamming bastards but in their country, it’s not considered wrong to be scamming “rich” Europeans so you can’t really blame them.
I’d just steer well clear.
Was a textbook scam… I can see how people fall for it, but the follow up PayPal email was just a bit too shit!
Paypal buit is easy to scam… if they do a direct bank transfer though… I don’t think there is any physical way for them to get their money back?
go for it turks, i’m all for Nigerians making money out of scamming………means i can charge the scamming gits £100+ to take them out to Lewisham; Thornton Heath etc and they’re always happy to pay it!! 😉

i know crown point, have cousins live near there. If you’re coming over to the “West side” then i strongly suggest we finally sort out a drink up and get turks and pharty along – though they do live in the more salubrious parts of West London i’m sure they could bring themselves to lower their standards for one night and have a drink with the commoners 😉
Turks is well and truly under the thumb, and worse, she doesn’t know he games! but yeah, we’ll see if we can get pharty out of his ivory towers!
I now live in Acton Town – far less awesome than Chiswick, but the flat is epic! We will be neighbours Mr Wolf!
