if its anything like jedi knight 2 with the map size and graphics quality and of ps2 ill buy it. switching to third person when using lightsaber and the possibility to initiate duels on the battlefield would be icing.
also a `capture the solo` gametype and a big sarlacc pit the size of j908 crater with a flag on a bridge over it would be cool.
Play as medic. Max out your revive tool first. Then Max out flak armour. Then unlock rez grenades and bandolier for when your defending. Max out your area regeneration next.
Follow your squad and profit.

ok thanks. ill wait till its been out a couple of days to see what the general feedback is . this will be an epic game but for me it needs to have more to the multiplayer side of things.
its amazing whats gone into it already though. hope it all comes together.
Seriously considering this game . its a toss up between this and grey too but this seems to fit my more casual game time ATM.
Some questions .will the characters be wiped on release?
Also what controls are you using? Can I use a controller?I’m looking to be a serious hard hatted space miner . will there be some sort of friends list where you can chat and request fighter support?
Also will you be able to put a bounty on another players head?
From the videos I have seen this game could be epic but I suppose we have to take the plunge and see where it heads.
there is a homemade launcher for it , ill get the link when im at home. worth playing on a ctf server cos the game is bloody hard when your rusty . god knows what it`ll be like for someone whos never played it. maybe have a couple of hours on it for nostalgia then fuck off to ps2.
although the maps in ps2 are the best ive ever seen nothing comes close to the feel of 42 maps. they make you feel small and vulnerable but able to make a difference. weird.
well I was going to type this earlier but with my limited grammer skills and genral fucked upness it runed into a serious rant against ps2 otufits I decided t leave it unitl I had a good amount of beer inside me .
theres one thing that NVidia , corsair of alienware don’t sell and that is experience. this group of peeps here have 15 years of it. it must be frustrating for azlur to play ps2 knowing that if all from xdc played it thy would pretty much wipe the floor on any base they wanted to take. from playing with these guys I know the sneaky bastards droping pungi sticks around certain corners and I know the medics that will steal a tank from an engy just to get a few easy kills befrore going on a killing spree after the tank gets damaged and they cant repair it. I also know the skilled players that know if you creep over tankmines in 42 they don’t g off. and I know the greedy bastard pilots that think they can take out everything.
ive played with some of the best and most skilful gamers ive seen here and then they have disappeared never to be seen again.but the beauty of this place is even though we cant get our arses into gear , who cares ?
maybe , designate a day t play 1942 as its free ,if we cant all get on together at least we get on.

just as he throws the c4 out someone throws a grenade in and the c4 sticks to it and he blows himself up.
bought the cheap alpha for a fiver and ive put quite a bit of time into it. thought it was worth the money just to go back to it now and again. its more of a puzzle than anything but with some combat built in. very frustrating and you can spend more time sitting looking at your screen trying to decide the best layout than actually doing it.
also playing dwarf fortress which is a whole new level of fuckrey!
