Is that befor or after they went all wierd and shite, you know releasing stuff that’s just off the wall, cos sucess has gone to their heads and they think they can churn out anything and the fans will lap it up? 😉
Still I liked a few of Muse’s older singles, will check this out 🙂

Music for deluded kiddies. I’d rather listen to the sound of penguins being bludgeoned to death.

ParticipantMuse must be one of the greatest pop music person/bands/computer programmers going to today. I know this to be true because whilst I don’t know whether he or she is a person, a group or a “dj†but I’ve actually heard of Muse. Now since I’m the most ignorant person in Europe when it comes to this pop music malarkey, if I’ve heard of Muse then by definition then they have to be massive.
Just to prove the point, I’m thinking back to the last pop song I remember and I’m pretty certain it was the one that went:
“No, noâ€ÂÂÂ
“No – n – no, noâ€ÂÂÂ
“No – n – no, noâ€ÂÂÂ
“No, noâ€ÂÂÂ
“There’s no lyrics!â€ÂÂÂAnd I only remember that because it used to be on the video jukebox in a boozer I used to go to in Halifax and there was this one bit in the video where the extremely dirty looking female singer mooched up to the camera and pushed her jugs together in an “insert slagbat here for a big soapy tit wank†kind of way. This bit was always followed by everyone in the pub saying to their mate, with the utmost sincerity that they would really love to give that bird a right good shagging.
So Muse, fuck knows in truth. Doubt they have a bird that’s gagging for it as much as that one in that “There’s no lyrics†video though.

ParticipantSOIA, I am deeply offended by the fact that you’ve chosen to mock one of the most moving songs I’ve ever heard about a British war hero.
The song you’re refering to was by popular beat combo 2 Unlimited and the actual lyrics are as follows:
No no, no no no no, no no no no, no no theres no limit!
No no, no no no no, no no no no, no no theres no limit! No no limits, well reach for the sky!
No valley to deep, no maintain to high
No no limits, wont give up the fight
We do what we want and we do it with prideWhich I think you’ll find is about Douglas Barder, his part in the Battle of Britain and how the country as a whole, refused to surrender. I heard that the Royal Marine band were going to play it to commemorate the dead last rememberance Sunday. The point of the song was that there are in fact no limits to what Douglas Barder achieved during world war 2 and that he also wasn’t limited by not having any legs. This theme was repeated a number of times during the song.
However as I recall the song wasn’t enjoyed by everyone, particularly as a song about there being ‘no limits’ was recorded by a band which proclaimed itself to be ‘too unlimited’ indicating that they thought there should at least be some limits.
