Take forever to load but funny IMO
haven t seen the link yet, but I am really ashamed of what he did … there is no way, whatever the Italians had done or said, to act like that in a world cup final (furthermore his last match before retirement)
I have no anger towards trezeguet who missed his shot, the fact, is Zidane shd have been on the list for the penalties and he would have probably scored and he was not there because he acted like a moron , llike in 98 when he “cleaned” his shoes on a player on the floor and got kicked for that. boooooooooo at him.today we are number 2 and if he had been there till the end we might be number 1 today. pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

bah, do as you like it s only that it 😯 me at 1stwhat an amazing evening last night..watched the game at an Italian club in central London, after the game about 60 of us walked a mile or so to Trafalgar Square and spent the rest of the night until around 2.30am in the fountains and up by the National gallery! The whole square was full of people last night and the atmosphere was electric. The last time i was actually in the fountains was in 1982 when Italy last won the World cup…….truly an amazing night.
As for Zidane………… 😆

Since Sunday evening the whole World has been debating what Italian
defender Marco Materazzi said to Zinedine Zidane to make the retiring
Frenchman react in the way he did. The French captain, in his last ever
professional game, thrust his head into Materazzi’s chest in Sunday’s
World Cup Final resulting in a red card and shame for Zidane. Today,
with the help of Italian lip-reader Arturo Belladini, we can reveal what
drove Zidane to self destruct;Materazzi was seen to hold Zidane’s shirt on the edge of the penalty box
in extra-time at which point Zidane said“if you want my shirt so bad you can have it”
Materazzi responded
“I dont want your shirt you m***** f*****. you’re a f****** old man”
As they jog away Zidane is seen to laugh at this and it is unclear how
he responded due to him having his back to the TV cameraMaterazzi then hit a volley of abuse
“you should’ve quit 2 years ago, you’re a f****** has-been

Zidane carries on jogging away

It’s at this very point Zidane turned and head-butted him.
Phew! Sounds like Materazzi got off lightly! 😆
Messy was mentioning something about this on TS last night, but I thought I’d post what lip reading experts think the Italian player said:

BBC Radio Five Live asked a deaf lip reader to read Materazzi’s words phonetically to an Italian translator:
She deciphered the insult as being “you’re the son of a terrorist whore”
The BBC’s Ten O’Clock News called in experts to study the television footage who said:Materazzi told Zidane to “calm down” before accusing him of being a “liar” and wished “an ugly death to you and your family”. This was followed by “Go f*** yourself”
Of course with Zidane’s mum ill in hospital, Materazzi might have committed something of a faux par.
