I expect this thread will go on a bit – I am notoriously shit at spending money!
Anyhoo… My current PC is struggling – It doesnt do what I want it to do, and bits are falling off! So its time for an upgrade… since I am now earning big bucks, and have barely any outgoing costs after tax and beer, I thought I would chuck close to a grand at it.
To start with, I need to decide whether it will be self built or not… so was just wondering whether anyone new vaguely how much a £1000 Dell/Mesh pc would cost to build oneself? (Baring in mind I already have hard drives (640gb ish in 3 drives), an Xfi Gamer thing, A 52 speed CD rom drive, and a load of external perifs.
I was also wondering where the threshold is where an extra £50 is not worth while adding… ie is worth adding teh extra smackers to put another gig of ram in or something.
PS… uses with be:
Prob gaming once COD 4 comes out
Digital photography/film shit
Art research
Listening to Music and watching films
And I am interested in learning to programme if that makes a difference?Ta
