ParticipantYou almost had me there Neon with all that science malarkey but then I remembered what Homer Simpson said and now I’m not sure I can believe you. He said:
“Oh, facts don’t mean anything. You can use facts to prove anything that’s even remotely true.”

ParticipantScience is not ‘bollocks’ Wipers! Unless it’s reproductive science, then it kind of is.
Anyway, using science I have created an image of what could have been if there hadn’t been a WWII. It’s kind of like the world now, but just much gheyer. Women wearing smocks and bearded men going topless. How wrong is that? Luckily a few million people gave their lives to stop this nonsense from happening.
Another time?: Lot’s of people who should have jobs being ‘alternative’. Is that what you want? I hope it’s not.

Very true SOIA. Although science has the answers, it can sometimes go bad.
“Bad science! Bad science!”

ParticipantWell, following on from Legit’s logic:-
I think jumping off a cliff is a great way to lose weight, and incredibly safe. Nobody here can prove me wrong unless they have jumped off a cliff, so ner-ner!
Likewise, unless you have tried shooting yourself in the head, you can’t tell me it’s not a great way to get rid of that bitch of a migraine.
This has gone way way off the original argument that driving like a twat through build up areas is justified. Somehow Legit now claims it’s just “is speed wrong” – never was the argument, mate.
Oh, and Legit….next time you read one of your posts, just look to the left a little…..

ParticipantWell I for one would like to see more of Lord Von Phartsbury’s tales from the City. Even his own forum on the site (well we have one for fishing ffs Rolling Eyes ). He could use it to dispense sage advice on sartorial matters, the art of pipe smoking, and promote the Way of the Phart in political discourse.
It would be a darn sight better than reading this bollocks.
Yes we could call it C*nts Corner!

ParticipantI have eyes, but feel free to read my sig too…
For all the techies who have employed IT graduates… did you not find them worse than employing someone who has time served in the field? I know graduates who can’t even build a computer and don’t even know the difference between a workgroup or a domain. Sure they learn lots of useless theory that most people pick up anyway, but they have fuck all experience of actually doing what they’re talking about. In the same way, y’all have the theory that driving driving like a twat in a built up area is wrong (with no proof whatsoever) but you have fuck all experience to confirm or bitch slap your theories…. I have experience and I say otherwise, speed is not dangerous, it’s the lack of awarenessand/or control =/ Speed just multiplies the effects of lack of awareness and control, so for the majority speeding is bad. But then why should people who have awareness and control have to suffer because of the mongrol majority? Comparing it to jumping off a cliff and shooting in the head is just childish….

Yes, the same people there which have never actually done the activity, just like the people here, somehow are all experts on something they have never done in theory or practice. You ever heard the expression you can know everything in theory but in reality it’s a whole new ball game? Try it, then get back to me – untill then, all the people who have done double the speed limit (in an urban area – on a bike) or above raise your hands, as you are the only people qualified and experienced to comment….
There is nothing you can say which proves me wrong.
Oh fuck fuck fuck! this is ridiculous!
We may not have this “experience” that you talk about because we naivley believe in the “Facts” that statistically and physically exsist that state the obvious therefore we avoid taking the uneccesary risks that you do. Your lack of ability to accept those “facts” due to your “experience” and singleminded ability to believe that what you do is safer because of your “experience” so far dont add up to anything.Allow me to demonstrate…(again 🙄 ) :
When I was younger I took quite a lot of LSD amongst other things. I didnt heed the warnings of my peers and other factual advice of the risks i was taking. They didnt and couldnt know what I was “experiencing” as I believed myself to be in control of the situation and actually had the most enlightening time of my life untill I was proved wrong by my own undoing and 15 years of anxiety later Im still paying for that ignorance.keep sticking that coin in the fruit machine that you think you know so well LeGit. You are a disaster waiting to happen

those people in the “field” are the main bulk of the statistics that prove that speeding in built up areas is wrong. Thanks to them we have the theory ####nugget!

We have some people at our work who have the experience and can put in on their CV, but still can’t do the job properly or at all. For Stupidity and laziness there’s no cure !

There will be pain on pain heaped upon your heads. How dare you refer to my favourite plaything in such a vilgar manner. I prefer the term “Jade Portal” myself, although they are often referred to as pussy.
Whatever you call it, do not call my favourite food a c*nt.

In their defence, they were zoology graduates.
