ParticipantI need a new fx card as mine does not support shader 3.
I was looking at the prices out there to see what i could afford. After loads of searching and juggling with various ideas i have come up with this.
http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZarbico_computersQQhtZ-1
Was looking at something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/INTEL-CORE-2-DUO-6400-2-GB-DDR2-200GB-SATA-19-TFT_W0QQitemZ170067809143QQihZ007QQcategoryZ179QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
As i will not have £600 for about 3-4 months i thought i give e-mail the guy near the time and see if he could do me just the box (no tft keyboard and shit) with a half decent fx card in for around the same price.
I am hoping that in a few months that the price of something like this will have come down £100 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/INTEL-CORE-2-DUO-6400-NVIDIA-7950GX2-1GB-GFX-2GB-DDR2_W0QQitemZ170068452556QQihZ007QQcategoryZ179QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
That would be perfect.I have an ath 64 3000 (i think) 2.1 gig just over a gig of ram and a radeon 9600 xt atm.
As agp is slowly dieing its pointless for me to go out and buy a £200 agp fx card atm because all i would be doing is wasting money in the long run.
If you can put off buying an fx card save the money and then in 4-6 months splash out. The guy in the links above is selling those pcs for a ridiculously low price.
