Nam was the biggest pile of wank ever. It has a draw distance of about 50 metres and felt like a cartoon.
But…. I have to admit that the radio was awesome 😆
I had some fucking great games of 2142 instead… Managed to pick up 4 knife kills within 30 seconds in one game! Huzzah!
I tried to play Nam but forgot that a system restore had undone my patching. And then my patch file was corrupt 😕 and then the EA d/l was gonna take 4+ hours :evil:.
So I went to bed early and cried a little.

Can’t quite beat that, but I did play on a German server which was running conquest only and told my squad to defend our one remaining flag. A bunch of snipers thought it’d be good to do a bit of spawn rapage and proceeded to camp out on a hill overlooking the flag. So I ran up around behind them and knifed 3 and was about to slice open the last one when he leapt to his feet (his buddies on TS must have warned him), and bunny hopped like a mad one. I emptied my SMG at him, but he was still on his feet with pistol drawn, so I Pilum’ed him at point blank.
Oh how I laughed.

Yup – awesome 64 player goodness on Gibraltar – on a German server which didn’t lag – even in the middle of an orbital strike. You listening Multiplay?? 🙄
wish i could have played – nam disks buggered – found a 42 server with fluff in stead – smacked down a load of tanks with me flying skilz

Just download a new set. I’m doing just that as cd2 is fuxored. Got an image of cd1 though

You shoot people and they died without you using a full clip ?
The AA worked ! the plane and helo whores fell from the sky like broken birds…
Untill you go back and play Nam you do not realize, that EA got it sorted out, pity they could not carry that over for the next 2 offerings.

Dont get me wrong i have fond memories of BFV but the m60 rapage and… gulp… the Huey whoring round spawn flags.. and it was well into the game before Dice provided static AA for the US. EA stuffed up on the air balance in BF2 but they’ve finally got it right in 2142 and consigned air power to a supporting role.
