This film is more like farthouse than arthouse. it’s a period drama with sex and violence and should appeal to the ladies as well as the chaps.
In fact oldPhart there is the suggestion of gayness in the film but you will be unhappy to know it’s between the two lead actresses.
Man you dont know how difficult it is trying to make some of these actors sound convincing! One guy, a Cuban actor called Jorge Perugorria, Who has won an oscar for one of the films he did, does not speak ONE WORD of english! I had to get him to do whole dialogues with Bernard Hill (who was getting reet pissed off with acting on his own) He rehearsed it perfectly and then when it came to filmiing (in fact this always happens with these actors) it just comes out of their mouthes like they’ve been deaf all their lives 🙄 (I mean the speech impediment not coz they’ve been ignoring me)
Anyway the Japan thing was music related as it was ‘Chicken Lips’ third album and the guys asked me to join them. So since Ive been in Spain I’ve been recording vocals for them and sending them over.

My mother grew up with Bernard Hill, showed us some phots of him when he was a wee bairn after we saw him in LOTR

It was WETs comp I recall
well remembered our feathered friend! i did indeed mention a long time ago about trying to get XDC mentioned in the media, be it a magazine, on telly or the radio but there didn’t seem to be too much interest so i quickly abandoned the idea and passed it off as one of turks 😉
