anyhoos i’ll hold me hands up, I made a mistake and appologise.. there code name was P3 back in the days hence my stupidness of thought… but then called i386 or just shit!.. only fools called them by the real name 🙂
insane, it was the x86, x286, x386, x486 and pentium. the p didn’t come in until the pentium if memory serves, but feel free to prove me wrong.
I also noticed a terrible spelling of apologise and incorrect use of the word ‘there’ but thought it too petty to bring up until now. 🙂

When I was in computer forensics I used to have a ‘luggable’ 486 PC to take to jobs with me. My boss always insisted that I take it since back in 1998 the sight of a large aluminium box unfolding into a PC was suitably imposing.
It did fuck-all really, but it looked like something out of ‘Bugs’ so we stuck with it.
