Being able to be the commander from a tablet if you have a battlelog account looks like a great addition as no more need to find somewhere “safe” to hide.
I enjoyed the footage, some of the EA games look fucking awesome, but was all for next gen consoles, screw that, 429 for a XBone, I’d rather pay for a new gfx card.
It was good to see footage of BF4, but I had a nagging sense it didn’t look as great as I expected, seemed little better than BF3. It might have been the E3 stream. BF4 has everything that BF3 should have had.

quick edit: so pleased they have gone with a commander and bigger squads. Now all we need is Wipers back in action 🙁
Hoping the destruction of the massive building isn’t scripted like the tower in Caspian. Some of the other destruction looks great – shooting the floor support post and the whole floor collapses 😀
Looking forward to this but my PC is going to struggle, could end up playing at 720 res !

Having watched some of the E3 stream last night the building collapsing does appear scripted insofar as it falls the same way each time but it’s purely dependant on the opposing team knocking out the 4 pillars that hold it up. There is a flag at the top of that building that the enemy has to cap, if they knock the building down it then puts the flag in the ruins of that building and there is also the added nuisance of the dust flying around and making visibility that bit harder for the heli jocks etc.
I’ve not played BF3 so have no idea how it may compare either graphically or gameplay wise but would imagine that the images we’re seeing at the mo are not fully textured or finalised and the gameplay will be pretty much the same as any other BF game.

According the the word on the street BF4 Beta available from tomorrow… keep checking emails for an invite. I’ve not got one yet but I do know a few that have the invite and showing as availabe in Origin from tomorrow 🙂
