October 20, 2007 at 9:08 pm #60646XDC_WolfParticipantHardly an insipiring win, not what I was led to beleive from the S.affers I know, but a win nevertheless. However, it was Tait who showed a pair of heels Habana wanted tonight, close call on the try, but probably the right one.
Well Done South Africa.
Proud of the English though!
October 20, 2007 at 9:20 pm #60647ZuluParticipantyep, the best team won… then the referee disallowed the try and game ended a farce.
PS, only joking, we did well to beat the French and Ausies, can’t complain but sooo f’ing close….
October 20, 2007 at 9:29 pm #60648SuicideParticipanti was having a shower for like the whole second half 🙂
looked a decent game tho what i saw
October 20, 2007 at 10:44 pm #60649XDC DutchmanParticipantCome on you Bokke !
But England played very well, in fact, their backline put ours to shame tonight. If it wasn’t for the magnificent Bakkies and Vic in the lineouts things might’ve been quite different
But in a final, points on the board is all that matterOctober 21, 2007 at 9:13 am #60650XDCiNSANEParticipantEngland lose on penalties… never?
I dont watch rugby, and from what I viewed last night.. I can see why.. yawwn
Where was the excitement.. and whats the point having a video ref if even they get it wrong? *From what I gather from listening to man on TV it was good*
still well done the winners and good show for England, oo i remembered an exciting bit.. where SA nearly got a Try against our brick wall.. that was pretty good to watch RAAAWR!
Back to a proper game now.. MOTD ftw!
October 21, 2007 at 12:35 pm #60651XDCMADMAXParticipantNo place for 2nd best, no matter how well we might have played
October 21, 2007 at 5:05 pm #60652XDC_WolfParticipantBloody close call on the try, although I don’t think it was good TBH. The excitement comes from knowing what is going on, far more exciting than football, full of overpaid nancy boys who don’t know what passion means.
October 21, 2007 at 5:11 pm #60653XDCiNSANEParticipantMr T says..
Who thinks that was excitement
I may not know the rules but grabbing a ball, kicking it out of touch, having a throw in where they just kick the ball out again was not excitement to me
each to there own but no where near as exciting as football.. I’d say golf was more exciting
October 21, 2007 at 5:23 pm #60654XDC_WolfParticipantYeah, if you don’t understand it you won’t find it exciting. I know the rules and the nuances of rugby and it was a bruising forwards clash, defence vs defence, players putting their bodies on the line tackle after tackle, turnovers, rucking and counter rucking, quite a fantastic tense match. Football is all about individual skill and the team can go fuxk themselves, Rugby is a far more thinking and team based game, with the determination to put your body on the line, don’t see footballers do that do you? no,, they go down screaming from a small slap to the face or nick of the ankles. When something doesn’t go their way they scream abuse at the officials, the language at football matches is barbaric from both the players and the crowd. Quite frankly there is very little good about the game, at least I can be proud of the attitude of the rugby players who represented England, every one of them gave it their all, they shouldn’t have been there because of their form but they got through on sheer professionalism and beleif, when was the last time English footballers did that?

October 21, 2007 at 10:42 pm #60656LensmanParticipantBollocks – wendyball is incredibly tedious 99% of the time.
