Right I have changed the way you sign up to the forums so that I have to manually add new users – hopefully this will cut this crap out!!
i have pruned a load of accounts – if you see any that are still suspicious (and i doubt i got all of them) post their names here and i will delete

There is a well dodgey looking one, can’t remember exactly what the name is but it’s something like TurksMeister, certainly sounds like it may be linked to some kind of ‘enhancement’ scam

Fuck yeh it is! Been going to the gym 5 times a week for the last 7 weeks… going to write a book – from tits to pecks… in 5 easy steps!

Problem is andy pandy sugar and dandy that it will probably send you a mail when they try to register for you to manually admin. If they keep on coming, they’re just going to flood your inbox and you can’t exactly filter out the spam because then it would block legitimate messages from the site too =/
Chances are they found a vulnerability in the php code so they’re coming here, have you kept on top of the latest patches etc?
I don’t think its bots either……….more than likely people getting paid 1p or summat everytime they sign up to a forum………thats a lot harder to control 🙁
Been doin a lot of reading on this. I think they are bots. I even found a forum that has three active (friendly) Bots that can reply to simple posts in a forum. Must find that link again. I posted a possible fix in another thred somewhere.

There are bots that can recognise the text thingy and even some that reply to activation emails
