Dave Allen, a real nice fella he was, picked him up twice in the cab; the second time just a few weeks before he died………i’m assured by the coroner it had nothing to do with my driving!

I like the fact that the diatribe is doing something ‘alternative’ comedy wouldn’t have done 15 years ago, which is to question all faiths (within reason) rather than simply Christianity.
Jerry Springer the Musical is funny, but the writer behind it pissed me off when he was asked why he didn’t give Islam the same treatment. “Because I respect their faith” he said, which struck me as a trifle lame. Not “because they’d fuckin’ kill me!”, which is probably a lot closer to the truth.
A well considered rant all-in-all, although I’d like to hear a Muslim, Christian and Jewish comedian respond.

Did he remember you from the time before?
What is your tactic when famous people get in the cab – do you do the not interested thing or shout “you’re only supposed to blow the bloody doors off” etc?
And… thirdly… which famous people have you driven?

I just behave the same as with any other customer………ramble on uncontrollably about Ken Livingstone, traffic etc….. 😉
seriously though i’m not that star struck by any celebs to be honest, occasionally i pick up someone i admire such as David Attenbrough (who was very nice).

I have a great tip tactic for you… learn where all the celebrities “were schooled” and then say to David Suchet – Uppingham ’79, Highfields… or somthing… then you can have a long conversation about buggery, and polo tactics, and make a mint and a lifelong friend at the end of it.
Now I’ve absolutely no idea who Emma Harrison is and I’m not the slightest bit interested in why she’s famous (unless she does hardcore porn of course, in which case I need links – but that goes without saying) but having done a google image search all I can say is that I fully expect that you absolutely insisted she pay her taxi fare by gash card.

But it goes straight out the window as you also took Jamie Thickscunt and Tony Slappery … Hope you drove them the wrong way round for a biti was in total awe of picking up Dr. John…….he and attenborough are the only 2 who i’ve been “star struck” by. Theakston was a muppet and quite ignorant, izzard and roth weren’t that pleasant either (though i guess everyone is entitled to a bad day), Moira Stewart was a real nice lady and very funny and Emma Harrison was seat sniffingly gorgeous 😉
Insane, i think you’d be dissapointed with elle if you see her in her day to day clothes and not made up, you serioulsy see far better looking women in the local bars (unless you frequent SOIA’s watering holes)…………just remembered another 3 i’ve picked up and all of them Brookside girls…….

I don’t know this Dr. John, but is he really a doctor? It’s just that these celebrities all give themselves names like Captain Sensible, Dr Fox, Prince, Dr Dre and Wincey Willis, but are they qualified to have such titles?
Anyway WET if you get the famous movie Directors Ang Lee or David Fincher in your cab can you please do me a favour of driving them to Brixton and pushing them out of your cab in front of the Tube station shouting “GET OUT YOU RACIST SCUM! I REFUSE TO LET MEMBERS OF THE KKK RIDE IN MY CAB.”
That’ll teach ’em for Alien 3 and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
