    I’m sorry but this cannot be remade.. it would be like remaking Blade Runner! (ish)

    Sure.. go ahead and remake the sequel because that was utter toss.. but leave the original alone!

    typical! More money than talent in the entertainment industry. OK its always been like that to a certain degree. And in all fairness Escape from New York has been a cult classic probably as much for its cheesyness as anything else. But when are these people going to stop thinking that CGI is an excuse to remake everything that exsists?

    although Halloween wasnt CGi but was a good remake.. I like TCM remakes.. much better than the original shite!

    I thought the Halloween remake suck arse big time! Plot was poo, acting was of the worse kind I have possibly ever seen, big thumbs down Rob.

    yes but this thread isnt about you or the shit films you do like.. its about remaking a cult classic

    and besides I thought the plot (if there ever is a plot with a hack and slash) was exactly the same as the first.. except it concetrated more on Michael and how he became the killer he was

    *tut* some people expect too much from films

    no extra movie needed to ellaborate on why michael became a killer, thats what made it that bit cooler and mysterious.

    box office lies… box office is for cinema release.. the films not on DVD yet so no ones bought it 🙂
