good to see a full house tonight!
July 25, 2012 at 10:04 pm #83151AlzirKeymasterAye was good to be there, and good to see the likes of piercehead on ts as well. Was a bit harsh on the other team that we had such a good squad on the go but it certainly got a lot harder hen hippo, beer, and wizzy got together on the other team.
Need to see more of fluff and mcqueen on ts though!! Don’t be shy guys, you don’t even need to speak, it just helps being able to hear stuff! I suppose there’s quite a lot of swearing to put up with, but if that’s an issue, just say.

If the swearing gets out of control, I’ll just mute myself so you guys can’t hear it 🙂
But yeah, good games, first time I’ve really enjoyed BF3 in a while and wasn’t tempted to rage quit.
July 26, 2012 at 8:32 am #83153crazy hippoParticipanthahaha i think the only person swearing last night was me. i havent had a decent game for a while and its been totally one sided, either winning or losing and neither are fun. i just get a bit annoyed, which is usually as much with myself as anything else.
just be glad i use push to talk on TS 🙂
July 26, 2012 at 1:24 pm #83154AlzirKeymasterSwearing’s ok by me and i’m probably the worst culprit, but I’ve just wondered sometimes whether some guys don’t bother with TS because of it….I doubt it, but the thought has crossed my mind.
July 26, 2012 at 5:02 pm #83155LammieParticipantplanning to get some BF3 action soon but need to buy a new pc first. hopefully in the next couple of weeks I’ll be back !
July 26, 2012 at 6:08 pm #83156XDC wild egg tamerParticipantGood luck lammie, was hoping to get myself sorted with a new pc on the back of how well I would do with the Olympics…..if the last week is anything to go by then I won’t be buying a new pc for some considerable time!
For the time being I’ll just sit around watching dayZ vids on YouTube 🙂
July 26, 2012 at 7:56 pm #83157AlzirKeymasterDid your pc die on you lammie? Hope you can both join us because there have been some really good games lately, including some monumental efforts to dig out wins. It’s lots of fun and I think i’m even enjoying it more these days than I did on release.
You’ll have some learning curve ahead of you wet if you do eventually manage a pc but it’s worth it 🙂
July 29, 2012 at 11:17 pm #83158LammieParticipantMy current PC is almost 9 years old and is desperate need of replacement. Other than the odd upgrade of a GPU it’s still stock from when I built it originally so I’ve had my monies worth out of it.
So I’m currently trying to spec out a new one albeit with a restricted budget which make this a little more challenge to ensure compatibilty across the system whilst still being able to play new releases and ensuring I don’t limit upgragablity in the future.
Looking for a quad core that overclocks well if needed without spending over the odd’s. Would love a new i5 3570K but at around £170 and then around £100 for a solid Motherboard it takes a big chunk out of my budget. This is without a decent mid range GPU.
July 30, 2012 at 8:36 am #83159XDC_WolfParticipantI’m sure Doc will be on me with his “och, you buy cheap you buy twice” malarkey (nice cheap water cooling you had there Doc…) I would say amke sure you spend the extra £10 – £20 on a motherboard that can upgrade to Ivybridge processors and get yourself a cheaper processor that you can overclock a bit but that you can replace in six months time, I think I paid £115 for my motherboard and it is fantastic, although I got mine nearly a year ago with a i3 2100 processor (can’t overclock, two cores hyperthreaded to four) it has run BF3 on high settings at a just about ok level, beginning to struggle with the new close quarters maps but I think that’s because they upped the destruction on the maps.
Basically go down a couple of notches in your processoror save some more and get what you want but take longer about it! Oh and splash out on a decent motherboard.
core i3 2100
asrock z68 pro3
8 GB 1600 DDR3 ram.is what I bought for £234 last august, it’s been fine up to now, but I reckon I’ll need a faster processor come Armoured Kill expansion
