statistically thats not bad at all. not sure how many people go nowadays but at one point it was estimated that there were 120,000 so one death and a bit of theft in a large town aint too bad. At least thanks to the new ticket system there are way less theiving scallies than there used to be 😉

I was at Donnington in 88 when 3 peeps died in a crush………again over 100k of bodies and only a few deaths in the whole history of monsters of rock!! and the fuckers closed it down for a few years because of it……………they’ve never closed down Notting Hill carnaval because of the stabbings etc……..i don’t know!!! 😉
To be fair WeT, you can’t really be surprised. The organisers should really have foreseen 100,000 people all trying to leave as quickly as possible when Guns n Roses appeared on stage. It was just an accident waiting to happen.
I remember the days of Donington though, always good when it rained and all those terrible 80s perms got ruined. And the birds got wet as well of course.
