Back to the “Gawd” versus “Damned to the burning pit of demon sodomy” debate.

This book is a much easier read than Dawkins’s God Delusion, and is also not as irritating. WHile I like Dawkins, he is also an arrogant head-up-arse irritating fooker. By contrast Hitchens is humerous and and agreeable person by nature and it shows through his writing. His arguments against religion are put simply and with great common sense.

Well worth a read, for those of all persuasions, whether it be Jazus, Yahvehovitch, Allahlujah, Buddahy or the white painted rock on my front lawn. This book will make you think without offending your sensibilities too much.

Like a comment in the book “I too was an atheist in a foxhole”

Read it kids, in fact read it too your kids. Be less schitt in the world then

“I said “If god does exist, he’s got a funny way of showing it.” That shut the pope up.”

Hitchens does seem like a bit of a gent. Apparently the journalist in ‘Bonfire of the Vanities’ is based on Christopher Hitchens.

This book is on my ‘must get around to reading’ list.
