ParticipantThou I agree that the classics should be left alone this one does look rather tasty………………… Plus Rob Zombie is bloody good. (if you like that sort of music………. 😯 )

ParticipantOh please leave the Halloween series alone, it started off good – then it got shit when they made Halloween ressurection (without the need for remakes)?! What the fuck was that film supposed to be about – it was the worst piece of shit ever. H20 wasnt that bad, but jeez, Resurection just sucked balls.
And the thing with Rob Zombie is – he should of stuck with music. Should be….interesting….

ParticipantRob Zombie wrote and directed The Devil’s Rejects and House of 1000 Corpses (i think) which i loved, so should be good!
Has anyone actually seen the original Halloween recently? Its the best of a bad bunch by far but (prepares to be shot down in flames) its not as good as i remember. Scared the shit outta me when i was younger but watchin it now….. not that scary..( and no its not because its not gory like ‘modern’ horror films either!) love the ‘Halloween’ music tho!!!!!

ParticipantThe music and original where shit hot, sure the movie isnt quite as impressive now – but hey, theres been so many countless horrors since, its toned it down a bit in comparison.
And, my personal opinion, i thought Devils Rejects and House of 1000 corpses where 2 prime reasons why he shouldnt direct, perhaps its just me? I did think Devils Rejects was the better of the two, but House of 1000 corpses, sure it was weird, but wasnt enough for me to justify it being good, was just violence for the sake of…well having violence in a movie – without really giving a shit what happened to the characters – as theres about 0 development with them.

ParticipantHouse of a 1000 corpses was far to weird for my tastes and a little to disturbing too, didnt like that film at all, however, Devils Rejects wasn’t bad.

ParticipantHalloween rules!! although Jason Voorhees is my idol, Michael comes a close second! 🙂
I’d have to say Halloween 3 was the biggest pile of shit.. ressurection was a blessing compaired to that toss lol
I viewed the Sample of the new one last night.. they chose a Rape scene for it.. odd I thought.. Dont think theres anyneed for that in a film like this, however the sample does show 3 in a cell (odd) with this girl.. the clip goes off.. so I can only assume Michael is the 3rd person.. theres loads of masks and stuff all over walls.. anyhoos.. I’m adamant the 2 freaks are about to get there just deserts.. maybe a cock chopping etc.
HOA1000C was wierd as MM said.. Devils rejects was better.. and its always a pleasure to see Sherri in films.. shes fucking gawjuss

Yeah, I always quite liked White Zombie. Particularly the first album, decent band.
The problem with anything Rob Zombie puts on film is that it’s never gonna be as good as the video to Thunder Kiss 65, which had birds in cowboy hats and hot pants wiggling their arses.
Look for it on Youtube and tell me any of his films have been half as good as that! You can’t.

ParticipantOh yeah.. the one in black needs all holes filling fo shizzle!
not enough of them though.. and teh fact his wife is in his films.. In skimpier clothing makes his films better .. sorry SOIA 🙂

ParticipantGood point. The video was never worth a monkeys fag break I’ll admit. Major porn trauma for anyone who tried that (wiggling arse, wiggling arse, oh yeah, here come the vinegar strokes ….. here I cum baby- ah fuck, Rob Zombies big gurning face!!!. Permanent psychological damage.)
But there are downsides to your argument as well.
I mean, yeah his wife is a looker but no matter how little she wears there’s far too much horror and not enough arse wiggling going on in his films.
What’s more, having straggly hair and wearing leather jackets and all that shite might have been a good way for a teen/twenty something year old bloke to get laid in 1992 but it’s now 2007 and the bloke is well over 40. If any of your mates got to that age and were still turning out like that you’d tell ‘em to grow up and you’d also reject any advances from his missus on the basis that 1) She’s clearly a mental (even by bird standards) if she’s shagging a bloke who is trapped in the early 90’s and she really needs to sort that shit out and 2) She’s shagging a bloke who basically looks like a tramp and quite frankly, you’d rather not swim in his bits.
So on balance, I reckon the limited arse wiggling from the brunette (and I prefer ‘em to blondes anyday) still wins out for me.

Participant😆 😆
good points from both sides.. i prefer brunettes too 🙂

ParticipantNot a bad remake hactually.. Tits and a lapdance scene from Sherri was worthwhile
Some of the acting was a lil bit poor, even from Malcolm Mcdowell
It delves more into the younger side of Michael and his youth, and the relationship between his family and baby sister, until he ends up in a psycho ward of course
Not bad at all
8/10 .. would be a 7 but I have issues with rounded numbers!

Participant8/10 from me as well. Pretty good remake.
