ParticipantI must say I thought she looked nicest with the last set of glasses she was wearing. The gold and black ones looked nice, but a bit too ‘bling’.

ParticipantIt’s a documentary my friend has made for the BBC for a series called “Mischief”, he is in a wheelchair himself and it’s all about how people perceive different minorities, they go around the country doing different things to see who gets the best service/responses to unreasonable requests.
If you watch you will see Jimbo (my mate) at the beginning in between the two warning screens.
Anyway, I urge you to watch it as it is sure to be good! May 24th BBC three.

ParticipantVery interesting stuff, and a good laugh to boot. Clearly the way to improve our lives is to be wheelchair-bound. I’m off to get Tess to break both my ankles then let the good times roll 😀

ParticipantMy mate Jimbo, who’s idea it was and one of the researchers on the programme, is in a wheelchair, and to be honest, he’d probably agree. Loads of perks, if you can live without the mobility that is! Anyway, I had already seen it and thought it was excellent, not ground breaking but a good giggle! Was interesting to see something that I have heard so much about whilst it was being made. Thanks for watching it!

ParticipantI used to live with a guy in a wheelchair. I can claim to be able to propel myself around all day on two wheels in his chair. It’s fun. Once when running to a nightclub on Oxford St pushing him ahead we had an accident on Dean St where we crossed the road at a sprint and crashed (obviously) into the kerb on the other side. The chair and I stopped short and matey flew through the air in the seated position rotated forwards 90 degrees and landed on his forehead. The huge amount of blood just added to his goth makeup and he got hooked-up even quicker than usual.
