ParticipantWas going to ask how much too?
Got myself a Sony T3 but it’s a few years old now. Was quite interested in that NV3 which looks spot on what I’m looking for.

Participanti bought mine from the local jessops yesterday…gave them a call to see if it was in stock, asked him the price; he told me £280 i then asked what price he would do for me..he then asked if i’d seen it cheaper and i pointed out the jessops website price of £230………the lovely little fella told me he would match the price…….walked out with a nice new camera and a 1gb SD card for £20 (jessops branded card but good enough for now)
Just got to learn a bit about photography now……where’s our photography forum page ?? 😉

ParticipantWell there are a number of other items of software you may need, depending upon how seriously you take it, firstly a good noise reduction package, Photoshop etc have noise reduction built in (as do most cameras) but independant software is far better, there are a couple of popular ones, the one I use is Neatimage:
Another bit you might need is some sort of EXIF reader (exif is data about the photo like ISO, shutter speed, exposure etc, all is normally embedded in each photo) it gives you an indication of how the picture was taken when you look at other people shots, thereby making recreating a shot a lot easier without asking a million questions. There are many built in, Explorer has one you can download as do Firefox, or you can use a good little package like Opanda:
Another one is a general resize/manipulator, all the basic settings are here, I use Photoshop CS, but for everyday adjustments and resizing I use this:
And finally you need somewhere else to swap tips and info, no better place than Steves forums, there are many different forums for different types of photography as well as for individual cameras, here is the Samsung section:
