I’ve managed to get a few games in today, the first i think since the release of the new patch and what can i say? Oh dear! thats what!!
2 CTDs, terrible lag on titan maps and 1 complete game crash whereby the screen went all black and funky, the pc froze up but thankfully i managed to ctrl,alt and delete and turn off the bf2142.exe from task manager.
Now its all nice and dandy having a few extra rounds in a pistol or being able to join as a spectator in an unranked server but the real issues really need to be addressed now, i’ve had a go at beta testing the game (sadly not as much as i wanted due to work constraints) and i understand its difficult to get every problem sorted but EA really need to address these issues that have plagued the game since release………its stating to spoil the fun of playing the game when you continuously get CTDs etc…
righto, well my rant is over and i’m off out until later……….may catch you guys online tonight if i can be bothered! 😉
not had a problem yet, only played for 30 mins at a time though, still, plenty of time for the CTDs to manifest themselves! Probably up fotr a big session this evening!
No CTD’s here. WeT, do you overclock your pc any? Dunno what it could be tbo. Just EA in general I suppose. 😕
nah, pc not overclocked………..just had another crash, this time the screen went kinda chequer board pattern and total pc freeze, had to reboot 🙁
I still get CTD’s after the patch too. I don’t think as many as before, but that may be coincidental.
Bloody game 🙁 Not played much, but since the latest patch I’m sure it buggered up up my display driver 🙁 2142 seems to be more trouble than it’s worth so I’ll be sticking to just playing RO 😉
i’m lagging like fook on the titan maps, i’ve reduced my gfx settings to medium and all i get is a 800×600 display that goes black every 30 seconds or so!! the damn game doesn’t support 1280×1024 resolution which is the native res of my LCD and to be honest i’m losing the will to live here! And the best bit, even on the lowest res the damn game seems to stumble about like Heather Mc-cartney mills pissed up!!

It’s something they obviously cant fix otherwise they would mention it when doing the patches. Methinks they will sort it mid 2007 when the next beta game is out on the shelves 🙄
Funny thing is mine hardly ever ctd’s, maybe once a week tops. But then again I can alt-tab out of the game but will never get in anymore and my voip has never worked.
Could it be because I use Win-XP-64?
