Has anyone else found in the last wk or so the server is getting really laggy? I tried playing on some other servers over the wkd and they worked fine. These were often 40 player servers at that. It p*ssed me right off because in the end I couldn’t even play on yours.
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed problems or if it’s me? I mean if it just me Ill have to dive into my ‘puter settings. I do know that my ISP is still giving me abuse damn it.
Anyway….
Our multiplay server has always underperformed. We share the hardware with another clan’s server I think. Servers with more player slots tend to be hosted on faster hardware so its actually a faster game on a larger server. We need to see if multiplay will be willing to upgrade our hardware even if it costs a few squid more a month. I think we are still on the same server we were on for BF2.
I will start looking into all of this when I get a mo. A move to another provider may be an option, or to a 40 player server ??

I get some lag (you s-lags), but I think it might just be that my PC can’t cope. When I’m onboard the Titan’s my PC switches to 10 frames per minute mode, especially when grenades and RDX packs start going off.
As a solution, I’ve been experimenting with ‘getting angry’ on the server, but with only limited success.
Cheers for the replies. At the moment I recognise my net is an issue so I wasn’t sure if it was solely down to that?

Anyway 2142 does indeed rock and my PC is pretty decent I’d say, 3.2 gig.

I had major problems with laggyness last week as well. Had more crashes than Richard Hammond on Saturday night. Since then i dropped the sound quality setting to low and have not crashed. My PC is quite good but dont have a dedicated sound card. This is why my mic now sounds like im Barry White in the Albert Hall(Sorry about That).
