But not at £420 i wont.
New pc come first. Then maybe by xmas when the price has dropped i will.
Just bought it this morning, went for the £504 package with Game, get double rewards points too which is always nice.
Getting PS3, Motorstorm, Resistance: Fall of Man and HDMI cable.
Was also tempted in to buying this:
😀I will in about 2 years but because of my “I have to get everything the day it’s released” idiot mate I’m getting a 5 month old XBOX360 Prem with the extra battery pack charger and ten games for 250 quid. rock on. And this coming from a confirmed PS fanboy. The p.c I have at the mo is more powerful anyway.

Sorry Max. It sounds like you’ll be one of the few people who will be getting a PS3:
PS3’s are expensive and unwanted
£500 is a lot of cash for a console, particularly one that supplies strange looking beds for really lazy people to play on. I would seriously wait, or cancel the order. I think a price drop is pretty imminent.
I think that the Wii is where it’s at 😉

Worried that £500 for a PS3 might seem like too much of a good deal? Don’t worry, Sony have decided that the European model (which costs more than the Japanese and American ones) will have less functionality:
Man, this is just getting ludicrous.
Not only are European PS3 buyers getting gouged in pricing terms – paying as much as 40% more for the console than our brethren overseas – but it turns out that European consoles are actually going to have less functionality, too.
How can this be? Well, in a bid to cut the cost of making the PS3, the hardware chips that enable PS2 backwards compatibility are being stripped out.
Stripped out.
The chips will be replaced with software emulation, with the result that backwards compatibility for European consoles will be, according to Sony, significantly less.
According to Reuters, “The backwards compatibility is not going to be as good as the U.S. and Japan models,” a Sony spokesman said. “Rather than concentrate on PS2 backwards compatibility, in the future, company resources will be increasingly focused on developing new games and entertainment features exclusively for PS3.”
Great. Most people probably wouldn’t mind about not having backwards compatibility, but the fact that US and Japan get it and we don’t is, frankly, galling. Let’s face it – Sony’s deal is getting worse by the day.

doesnt sound fair to me, expect higher prices as “rip off Britain”, but taking out chips as well….
