Fark, talk about a steep learning curve. Seems like fun though.
I do however remember why I hate the Unreal Engine, bloody trees and shit are non-usable.
Its a bit dated, but shows what EA could do if they made another WWII style game.

funny as feck tonite….me, dazz and some random geezer in a tank (yuck) dazz driving and not stopping when told too…..in game voip turned quite blue 😀
quality play as usuall in the splat server (apart from damn tank maps) some seriously good players hang out there.

personally I like the tanks, zig and queeks and I have had a fair few laughs. There are tricks with the tanks , hit spots and all, nothing like taking 10 or twelve shots from a n00b onlt to kill him with one shot (not that it happens all that often. Teamwork is VITAL with the tanks, zig normally drives and I gun, and we can be fairly sucessful at times. Reaally need to use the terrain to full advantage, much more realistic and rewarding than the BF2 tanks. As for infantry, not got the hang of it yet, although alot of fun at it’s best, can be bloody annoying, especially when no one communicates. Personally I reckon that we could have a fairly balanced bit of clan teamwork going on on a mixed map, we should maybe try it out if we get a server up.
Anyway, going away for a month next wednesday so I won’t be on till after then really (might have a couple of games at the weekend though if we could all meet up on a server, that would be awesome.) As regards Ventrillo, it constantly cuts out for me for periods of up to 20 seconds, sound quality may be better, but prefer constant communication than telling someone to stop in a tank and getting frustrated only to find out that they couldn’t hear me!
I’ll see if I can get on over the weekend.. wont be using ventrillo as I dont see anything wrong with TS… you gheys
I’ve taken out a few tanks with one shot as I have been taken out with one shot too.. its all about the aim *as you pointed out* and angles.. just avoid having dazzer be your driver lol.. the tanks rock but infantry maps are much better 🙂
