i’ve a 2mb pipe and was wondering if the results are favourable with my service ? I understand i won’t get the maximum. 😀

    Download looks ok
Upload low? Can’t remember if 2mb lines should have a 512kb upload or not.

Latency (ping) much higher that I would expect.

Worth running a few times over the day and seeing what variation you get.

Just got my cable upgraded, i’m not getting the full 10Mb down, but it’s still pretty good, and i’m downloading from the newsgroups at a steady 1260KB/s

Interesting. I’ve got a 1Mb ADSL link and get this:

The up/download are pretty good for the line, but latency is poor and certainly not consistent with what I see when playing games (typically 30-40ms). I noticed that the latency gauge says “beta” on it, so I wonder if this is just under test and not very accurate.

    Great site, BTW.

crikes!!! i may look into upgrading my line with nildram……..currently its 2048/256, may see about upping to the 8mb service……….i don’t get the latency issue and the 50 miles to London bollocks!!! i’m only about 20 miles from the dockland area where i know a lot of main servers are located!
