..searched for this and couldnt find a review so i thought id say something….
.. BRILLIANT FILM!.. Christian Bale is a legend.. one of the best actors we have, American psycho, Equilibrium, Batman and Harsh Times all great films…. Hugh (Wolverine) Jackman plays his part as well and Michael Caine does what he does… gotta watch it!! (Oh, David Bowie is in it as well!)
9/10

Gotta second that review, brilliant film, 9/10, really enjoyable and gripping, and Bale is awesome. First saw him in Equilibrium, which was ok, but then saw Machinist, holy cow, what dedication to a role !

June 17, 2007 at 3:20 pm #44238xdc magickerParticipanthmm good film but was a bit disappointed with the sci-fi plot towards the end! it was a great story about 2 rivals till it started to get silly. Don’t get me wrong i love sci fi but was quite enjoying the gritty down to earthiness till i got distracted by the sci-fi stuff!
7/10
June 17, 2007 at 4:46 pm #44239RyzoParticipantThe Machinist! Yeah loved that film too, he lost so much damn weight for that film :O and yeah i fast saw his role in Equilbrium
December 23, 2007 at 12:22 am #44240XDCNeonSamuraiParticipantThis film has earned itself a rating of ‘corker’, as in; “My, what an absolute corker.” Although I must say that I’d kind of worked out what was going on after he gave David Bowie his hat, and ‘cos I saw a Canadian cartoon as a kid with a similar premise (seriously I did). I thought the way the story was told was very good and couldn’t fault the direction (well done Mr Nolan, again).
And this is the kind of film that you can watch with your wife.
Again, this film is rated ‘corker’.
