just to give you an idea of developments — phpbb3 is very new and a lot of the cool mods (portal systems , shout boxes, etc are still in early development so i will hang fire for a while before installing them.

the front page is still hosted on my servers and i think they will stay there for the moment – the webspace we get with the dedicated server is only 400 mb and a single database.

now it is possible to run multiple bits of software (forums / cms / scripts etc) from a single database it is a faff to look after.

hang fire for a while and i will add the cool gadgets as they appear.

Whats wrong with Steam “Friends”?

(well apart from the annoying thing when you have to log out and log in again to invite someone to your game …I hate that.)

naah if anything teamspeak or i guess steam friends. You know what MSN is like. You end up being online when you dont want to be online and the chap that sent you an email from guetamala one time that you ignored now see’s you online and trys to chat to you each time you are connected which makes you suddenly aware that you were connected in the first place etc 😉
If theres any upload download chat or speak proggy out there thats a bit more stable and doesnt use yer email addy then I’d use it
