WW2 pics

Heyup folks. As some of you may remember I have a collection of pics from WW1 and 2. Just aquired these. They were taken at Dieppe in August 1942 after the disasterous allied invasion where the main force that suffered were the Canadians. It was as most positive historians say a productive disaster as It had many objectives. It took the pressure off the eastern front for the russian allies who were suffering most at that point. It served as an experiment in a beach-head invasion and also caused the Germans to concentrate their defences around Calais instead of 100 miles farther down in Normandy. It was also the 1st outing for the Churchill tank that pretty much took a pounding and didnt even get off the beach. They no doubt stuck the flamethrower on after that lesson.
This is what the chap who sold me them had to say about them:

These photographs are World War Two Trophies and were taken from a German P.O.W. It was my Father who collected these and they show the War from a German point of view and feature British troops after capture, tanks, a burial, a military parade and a mine being swept ashore. I know them to be genuine trophies and most have been taken around the Dieppe area and are photograph dated 19.8.42. They were captured at a later date of course when my Father was part of the Normandy landings
