    yea don’t really need it unless your into opening random .exe files or downloading dodgy stuff. Personally I’d rather not chance it though(coz I d/l dodgy stuff and can ‘right click scan’ it before I open it and it’s saved me a few times) had viruses in the past and they proper fk up your machine and bring it to it’s knees…never had it be unfixable but it eats into game time way too much.
    I’ve got NOD32 which uses next to nothing in system resources and is very maintenance free, just not actually free (unless you know where to look…cough*rslinks.org*cough :)). Kapersky is pretty good too I hear just avoid anything Norton and McAfee as they are big fat system whores.

    yea pretty good update, end of the backburner I would imagine though, so expect a lot more returned rockets and ubers suddenly ending as your medic gets air blasted across the map. Glad the gate glitches are fixed, shame the ones in the walls all over Goldrush ain’t. 🙁 Also like the idea of the Gear icon beind the health, stops you messing around as a medic thinking the engi is injured when it’s actually the dispenser. 🙂

    I wonder how the kill credit works, I presume this will be from things like killing yourself with stickies or your own rockets. Does it work with falling damage for instance? Or more importantly am I still going to be able to Rocket Jump and press “explode” and shower everyone with gibs without giving away a point?

    They want the account information of users. You don’t need an account to view youtube. They just want to nail people that are habitually putting up copyrighted material i.e football highlights, movie clips, music videos etc.

    Well I’m still in testing, shipped out to NZ about 3 years ago and did boatbuilding for a year which nearly killed me because of the dodgy marine grade chemicals involved. So currently contracting for a bank which pays pretty well. I miss working in games (just not EA) but there’s none of that here. So there’s a possibility of moving to Aus at some point but life’s pretty good atm. Couldn’t have afforded the lifestyle I have now back in the UK. Had me first flying lesson a few months back, considering signing up for a course.

    No I’ve got a pretty cool TF2 stats plugin for but I tend to use the Winamp one so Tf2 stats is a bit redundant. As for actual binds I haven’t found a need for extra keys yet.

    you can set the server to upload them to the clients at full speed, less likely to lose people then. I play on a payload map only server quite a bit with this setup (they state on a pop up message that map downloads are full speed, so people don’t assume they are slow and drop at the first sign of a custom) All the maps are custom on this server (all bar Goldrush) and it’s usually full and each came down in less than 2 minutes. Haven’t noticed it go laggy when people join a few minutes after start either.
    Also I’m not sure, but I think they came down zipped rather than just a regular .bsp map file (tar or bz2 ??) which might explain the speed aswell. I presume that TF2 knows how to unpack them or just load them from the archive.

    No idea how you set that up though.

    Heavy is great for pushing the bomb cart on Payload maps (Goldrush etc)

    I see they are looking for Testers nOm, maybe they’ll listen to you and give you the game you’ve been crying out for 🙂

    Thats an impressive list of changes, might give it a go as I wasn’t overly impressed with the first outing but thats mod evolution at mod pace for you.

    I found out only yesterday that theres a key bind to go straight to the loadout screen, thought going through the menu was a long way around. DOH.
