Ive offered to put a decent sum into the server already. But your upgrade will just have to wait Turks. I think the add may even be shown on the miller web site when its done. By the time I get my mits on that cash it will probably be only half of what I mentioned as theres lots of record label bolony to sort out. As for the track. Im a bit ashamed of it as I just took a listen (did it back in 97) and the mixdown is pretty awfull 😯
Ah well they baught it 😀
Ill sort out a link for you to listen to it later 😉XDCsPUNKer

ParticipantOFP was my kind of game and I seem to remember it was me, recoil Jar Queeks and morph who played it most at a time when XDC was a bit fragmented with regards to games (kinda like now lol) I think id be definatly up for it. some of the graphics may not be on a par but this game has what I call photorealistic lighting which makes it feel more realistic than BF2, at least when you squint your eyes it does 😉

ParticipantOK I just dled on by Vonda Shepard to check and noticed that this is a kind of ballad version so Im hunting out that nasty reggae sounding one now.
Could this be from the Cheesemeister herself: Sonia?
OK update again

This is Sonias version and is also a bit ballady so unless perhaps it was a tacky Stock Aitken and Waterman remix who knows
perhaps its someone called Julie LondonXDCsPUNKer
ParticipantDitto what erratic Space said
Although I havent got mine on order yet 😉
For me Gulf of Oman was a map I got bored with very quickly therefor I poopooed BF2 more or less straight away at the start until I played my 1st Karkand map and thought W00T this aint so bad after all. the whole squad thing brought a new dimension and adapted style of gameplay that marked a more team orientated game than 1942 offered. Bugs? didnt bf1942 go up to 1.6? games need to be ironed out and unfortunatly in most cases the general public are the Guinea pigs but you must understand the logic. Unless your pc is a standard retail Dell or Hp or whatever then the chances are that your setup is made up of a combination of many thousands of different setup styles therefore software developers are constantly dealing with compatibilty isues on all fronts. I think in a lot of cases things do get rushed because some twatty bigwig is saying “WE” have to be 1st whereas perhaps a smaller company that has something to offer can take a bit more time and not be so under pressure by their own success.
OK 1942 was great because it was based in a past that we could relate to visually or even through friends or family. Vietnam also. then BF2 was in the not too distant future, somewhat harder to relate to yet not unconcievable. Now of course its one hundred years later and who knows what that would be like (trips to the moon on a steam train anyone?)
perhaps we also feel a little alienated and that is turning us all a bit into Victor Meldrew. Things are moving a bit faster than they were when 1942 got released and in just the same way as: the faster your computer gets the more impatient you get when its trying to proccess something perhaps we should accept it and leave our ultimate criticism to how much or little pleasure we get out of this playing in an environment of friends 😉
there… rant over 🙂 -
