Hi guys
Just so I know, who,s actually gonna be buying this? I know OFP was good, and had some great games with some of the guys here.
I,ve read a few translated reviews, and it seems like you,ll be able to play with 65 players plus 100 AI. And there will still be the COOP mode aswell as Join In Game, which OFP was missing.

I’ll be buying this! Non-linear missions is my thing. I used to write missions for OFP and all the corresponding add-ons so Armed Assault is a definate.

Graphics don’t really stand up well compared to BF2, but the sheer size of the environment and the possibilities for making missions and teamplay etc. should be awesome.
As a OFP fan I will certainly be giving this a go. What exactly is happening as regards release dates?
From what I’ve heard, the release date is going to be mid-November, but there’s currently no UK distributor. However, as we’ve seen before there’ll probably be a download option for it.
There’s also supposed to be the completely new Operation: Flashpoint 2 coming out in 2008.
They’re in talks with a UK publisher by all accounts at the moment so hopefully they’ll be an announcement soon.
After OFP, which was probably the best PC game ever if you ask me (and let’s face it you should, but you don’t have to now cos I just told you)they’ll have to really go some to arse up Armed Assault. So looks like a fairly safe bet that this one will be worth getting. Famous last words.
OFP was my kind of game and I seem to remember it was me, recoil Jar Queeks and morph who played it most at a time when XDC was a bit fragmented with regards to games (kinda like now lol) I think id be definatly up for it. some of the graphics may not be on a par but this game has what I call photorealistic lighting which makes it feel more realistic than BF2, at least when you squint your eyes it does 😉

Gameplay over gfx…..anyday
So this isnt Flashpoint 2 then? Is it a Flashpoint mod? Will you need flashpoint to run it (I have it)? If its not a Flashpoint mod, which game engine is it using? Anymore good links?
