Nom with your pc specs i would honestly buy a new mobo and ddr3 ram. 4 gig of ddr3 ram is 23 quid these days.
I wanted more ddr2 a few months ago and it worked out cheaper to buy a new mobo and a 4 gig stick of ddr3 ram than it did to buy 4 gig of ddr2. Its also fasterA bit of a meh for me tbh. While i love the idea of ff on because it will stop all the rpg spam, i would not like it on because on times i see my screen red or white (torches/infra-red beam) and i open fire, also sometimes people run round the corner on you and natural instinct is to fire.
Then you have the age old thing with ea that mines will probably cause ff also and people will just run over them regardless.While i love the idea of ff being on i also think it will cause more frustration than good.
I am running it perfect on low settings and honestly if it was not for the odd jagged line it would look just as good as the ps3 version. Specs are

GF8800gtThey are fine as they are. I can disable tanks and all sorts of shit now, enjoying them as people dont know how to fly properly yet and i am out turning everyone 😀 Blowing up helis is nice fun to.
Helis probably need a buffing, 14 rockets and the gunner hammering a tank should kill not just disable it.
Did not like the planes and helis so much in bf3, without the box that used to pop up on enemy tanks, planes, helis it kinda sucked. Early lvls your flying blind. Then you open up the radar its suddenly a whole lot more fun.
Hand held stingers are a POS tho, they should be highlighted on your hud once they have lockSweet i did not know about those. Kinda useless to me tho, almost everyone i know on my psn network are all cod fudgepackers. So i am almost alone playing. Will have to drop hints to my mum n dad now they have silly money that a pc would be the bestest present in all the world and take back my promise to bury them instead of cremate if they did not behave themselves 😀

Good hotas. I had one since they launched, has to be about 5-6 years ago now. Only the trim wheels and throttle have lost a little off the axis, but the easy to use deadband adjust sorts that right out.
Doubt very much there will be a stat reset because they staggered release anyway. The US had the game monday, somewhere else was wednesday and the eu had it open officaly on friday.
Last thing i heard was that ea let retailers release early because of the people unlocking the game early.
Cos of that my copy was posted today to get to me instead of wednesday 😀
