Just wondering.. do you guys still play bf2142?
Just came back to the civilized world a few days ago and I haven’t seen anyone around.
My Xfire id is panic101 in case anyone of you uses that 🙂I recently bought a 42 inch Mirai LCD and I must say that I’m very pleased with it.
The only nuisance is that it doesn’t scale TV signals very well so ordinary tv looks a bit gritty compared to a plasma.
I can live with it seeing as it cost alot less than a similar plasma and it can manage 1080i (1920×1080 i think it is) so I’m more or less using it as a monitor aswell alot of the time (can you say bf2142 on a 42inch screen? 😀 looks the shit too!).
One other thing it’s weak at IMO is black. Seeing as it’s a backlit surface it doesn’t handle black aswell as plasma screens do. I don’t see it as a problem but for the “connossieur” it might be a bit offputting.

I’ve always had ssh access to the websites I’ve played with sofar but this one will certainly come in handy at some point

I’ve snuck a peak or two and I’ve enjoyed what I’ve read sofar.Although I think it’s a bit much to have to write a whole book in order to dismiss religion as state sponsored superstition..

Not posted in awhile seeing as my personal life is pretty hectic atm; I think Im getting headhunted for a Linux sysadmin gig with the biggest webhost in denmark!This mod is a breath of fresh air tbh. I play it every chance I get ^^
Compared to the BF games it’s like.. in BF you go diving with all the gear – wetsuit, diving watch, airtanks etc. the whole nine yards.. whereas in Insurgency you’re underwater, bare arsed with nothing but a straw in your mouth with sharks in the water 😀
No gadgets, crosshair or any shit like that.. You push to conquer waypoints and if you don’t use the ingame voice or TS to coordinate you’re screwed.
And you die alot compared to BF but it’s soo intense! And it gets better when you get to know the maps better 🙂
The soundscape ingame is one of the best I’ve ever experienced.. the guns sound beefy and you KNOW when someone is letting rip with an assault rifle! Not to mention the yank LMG.. it’s soo scary to hear that thing clattering away in the distance!
The soundscape and the sheer intensity of it makes it a very good game IMO ^^
