I had a similar thing happen that I did take the time to follow up, I no longer have the e-mails but I’ll give you the gist. I was selling my iPhone on gumtree (cos they are shit :P) and I got contacted by a nigerian who seemed interested in buying it. He said we should use a 3rd party company as we would both be protect that way.
I took the time (since he already knew the e-mail address was valid) to write back with a sarcastic e-mail explaining that I knew he was scammer and that I hoped that he was happy trying to make a living this way.
He wrote back saying that he was in fact a legit person and only wanted to give me more than I was asking for the phone. I promptly told him to piss off and that no-one would ever believe him. He then sent me a 3 page hateful e-mail, entirely in caps, explaing how I was infact a scammer in the most broken english I’ve ever read. It was pretty funny I wish I’d kept it. I simply replied that I hope he enjoys his shit country and that he dies young, a balanced and measuured response.
Pretty funny though.
I pretty much agree with space’s suggested settings. I feel stronly about the spotting as it’s a large part of the game and increases teamplate a lot. The recon easpicially has many spotting tools from the little spotting grenade thingy to a spotter scope. If you’re wories about snipers, don’t stop moving, it’s a lot harder to hit a moving target.
For server population, I always seek out a 32 man server as it’s simply more people to shoot. I’ve always been this way in games and prefer as many people on the map as possible. Again, my personal preference, I will go with the majority.
it was xps slice. Ihad my suspicions about him but it turned out he was sniping from so far away noone could see him. good game despite my internet playing up

That’s awesome doc, I’d love a setup like that. Currently I use my main gaming PC as a home server that does everything and use the router as a wireless hub for my NW. I’ve got 1.5TB of storage with tons of films and TV programmes that I can stream to the laptop, xbox or the PS3 wirelessly and indeed use it as a fileserver/printserver for my laptop. The PS3 is a pain to sream media to though, had to download a seperate PS3 server to steam media to that. I hate sony.
When I get the budget I’ll get a setup like yours, tis awesome.

Lol, you’re not wrong. I feel I’d have been more effective had I been afk for my matches despite the kind words. I guess I’m not the strategic thinker I like to think I am afterall. I guess I’m best at FPS afterall.
Had my first online match with Matt and I had him under 100 tickets whilst I had over 400 still, was encouraging even though he turned it around after that and beat me (I think he may be been being kind to me at the start). However all the matches I have had since have been proper spankings…
So long as I pull out a victory against Bob I’ll be happy 🙂
Unfortunatly the iPhone doesn’t rock, Apple didn’t release the rock application and since you can only use the iPhone how apple tells you, you are shit out of luck. You shouldn’t have to invalidate a warrenty (jailbreak) to get a phone how you like it, it’s absurd.
Also, I like that you can’t hold the iPhone 4G is a certain way or you lose signal, genius.
Never tried the droid OS, looks pretty good and I guess I’ll give it a try, I’ve had 4 win mobile phones in my time and I have enjoyed them all. They are prone to bugs and crashing and complicated to get working, but I don’t mind that as it lets me do exactly what I want.
The new Windows Mobile 7 looks crap though, I may switch as winmo 6.5 will no longer be supported soon.
On a serious note about quitting smoking, I quit using teh “allen car’s easy way to quit smoking book”. It basically brainwashes you to quit smoking. I was skeptical at first but I quit after reading it and so did the mrs, may be a good idea to try it mate, only a few quid of amazon.
I have the HTC HD2 and the Evo is a slightly faster version of that with an HDMI output I believe. Having had the iPhone 3Gs before that, I am now quite a fan of HTC. I kinda wish I’d held off a few months for the Evo but it’s Android OS and can’t play PS1 games like my phone.

Fair Comment, I voted and I shall post.
I think that the mini map is pretty handy, I like it, help me find people to revive etc. The spotting I feel is a good part of this game, I find myself trying to spot in MW2 at times too now. Again personal preference, that’s what the votes about, the rest I’m not that fussed about, no cross hairs make the mounted guns unusable, but they somewhat deter noob tubers (unless you are a natural noob tuber like myself).
Also, I don’t understand how 3 people have not voted for the AnobizII is gay message, 1 I can understand, but 3? This is a must. I feel it is a core addition to the server.
Yeah, I feel that the spotting is a big part of the game, it’s nice to spot targets for your team and I think it is a funciton of the mini map
