I think you would struggle for a meaningful excel course that would last a day. Your best bet would be to do the MS e-learning stuff.
Get your boss to sign you up to https://business.microsoftelearning.com I get this through my work and there are many excel courses covering office 2k, 2k2, 2k3, 2k7 and 2k10. As well as many other courses. I’m not sure how much it costs the busness or even how you do it, as I work for a massive corp but it’s maybe an idea.
bmstalkerParticipantHave to say Streff, you got me into spotify. I use it often when I’m doing other stuff on my pc than playing games or watching porn. I doubt however you or anyone here would appriciate my playlists so I will leave it here, but yeah
Spotify= the awesome
bmstalkerParticipantCheers wolf, fixed the error. Regarding my success, I have not made much. All the sites I have created so far have been poorly researched. The last 5 have been thouroughly researched and are doing well.
Potato Rumbler is ranked top for it’s keyword and is making it’s targeted £1 a day. I have 2 more on page one but not top, Rectangle Trampoline is on page 1 but not top, Balance Scales is page 3 and BB Gun Pistol is page 2. Those domains were registered 4 days ago so are ranking well for 4 day old sites. The birthday cake one I registered on sunday but only started to list it in google last night so it’s not indexed yet.
My target of £1 per day per site for the micro sites would make them cost me £6 for 2 years but make me over £700 each. If I create 200 sites that rank as well, which they will with the proper research, that’s £200 a day, £6k a month etc…
The birthday cake is meant to be an authority site with clickbank, adsense, amazon affiliates as well as a CPA offer I am yet to sign up to. I project about 1000 unique visitors a day after it has the 200 pages up and the money should roll in off that site, I’m hoping $1k a month just from that one site.
It is a hell of a lot of work though, I’m writing about 5×500 word articles a day just to do article marketing for the backlinks and writing 10x 500 word articles, full of original, cohesive and interesting content about subjects I know nothing about is not that easy.
If any of you guys are interested in giving it a shot, I’ll link you to a few forums.
Forgot to add the other site on page 1, Ab Toning Belt This is a competitive niche and it has taken me around 3 months to hit the first page. That particular site is poorly optimized and I will re-do it soon so I can make a lot more money from it.
bmstalkerParticipantWelcome mate,
<
No longer the new guybmstalkerParticipantGrats mate, you know Ben is a good name for a girl too…..
bmstalkerParticipantThis is more to do with how you host it mate. Make sure you point the nameservers to your host. Then go to the host and set up an account for that domain and upload there. Can’t really go wrong. What host you using?
bmstalkerParticipantYeah was quite a packed night last nigh, myself, mio, space, anobiz, JAR breifly and a few of the 7DR guys, come on the same server, even if it was different TS.
bmstalkerParticipant“You can’t think of the British Isles withouth thinking peadophiles…”
bmstalkerParticipantI quite like it. Does this mean a new design for the forums and getting rid of the buggs bunny flash banner?
But yeah, pretty simple and stylish.
bmstalkerParticipantMan, that sucks. You’re tv I mean, not the PS3, that’s a blessing. Also, I’m an insensitive dick 🙂
bmstalkerParticipantHehe, I’ve seen some pretty filthy PC’s in my time. The worst one was my previous liquid cooled one. I put it in a Thermaltake armour case (never buy another thermaltake case) with £350 of watercooling equipment for my CPU and GPU, was awesome, overclocked my Q6600 to 4Ghz and my 8800GTX about 30% extra. Was really fast for the time. I built it with the idea I would use less fans, but ended up have so many fans in it, to cool the radiator, I had fans to cool the ram so I could run the FSB at 400mhz etc. Had even more exhaust fans to keep a negative air pressure inside the case etc.
Anyway, when I came to dismatle and sell my PC, the inside of it was thick with brown dust (I was a filthy smoker for a number of years). From then on in, I’ve spent the money for good cases with filters etc. Currently running a antec P182 case, with noise reducing materials and filters on all intakes. Just needs to wash the filters once every few months.

following the latest patch i found that spawn times were really slow
Blackadder found this info which solved my spawn time problems
SPAWN DELAY SOLUTION
(As originally posted on the EA forums and personally confirmed)
It looks like the spawn delay is an anti-virus resident shield issue.
It has something to do with the fact that now on every spawn your current kit loadout is saved to a file in the My DocumentsBFBC2 folder and for some reason the way it is being saved causes a scan of the file by some AV programs, which causes the spawn delay.
The solution is to either disable the resident shield or (preferably) add the My DocumentsBFBC2 folder as a path exception and the delay will disappear.
If you have AVG (for example), double click on the Resident Shield function, then click Manage Exceptions and add the above path as an exception. You will instantly notice the lag has gone.
Simples!
Ah, awesome, I have this very issue, I will try this fix tonight. Been pissing me off over the weekend, hitting spawn waiting a few secs, then spawning when it’s no longer safe :(. Thanks for posting fix.
bmstalkerParticipantYeah, apparantly they once posted a change to some sort of assault rifle in a previous game. The playerbase responded with all sorts of comments form “that was an amazing, game balancing change” to “you’ve broke the game, I quit”
They then posted a week or so later the proof that they didn’t actually impliment any change and it was just a spoof.
Pretty funny
As someone said however, within hours of the patch being live, someone somewhere, will uncompile the data and post the changes, so their approach will not do anything.
Cool idea though.
bmstalkerParticipantLol,
Thanks mate, It’s all done on free hosting atm. As soon as I’m making consitant money, I’m prob gonna set up a reseller account and set up a web-hosting company on the side too 🙂
I try to avoid tech savy groups, I don’t click on ads either tbh. The self help books one show’s the kind of audience I’m after, people who need help 🙂 more click happy. Also people looking to buy are more click happy, so generally product review sites perform better click wise.
Also found an interesting affiliate site, easy content units, in which you can make a large price comparrison table from different retailers for the same item. Then style it the way you want, and it automatically uses the appropriate affiliate codes for each link. I usually have these on my static sites, which is what I’m probably gonna stick with.
Just need to set up some link wheels for google dominance and get cracking
bmstalkerParticipantMicro Niche stuff comes in a couple of forms.
The idea is to have lots of sites, making a little bit of money each day.
I read a post on a forum along the lines of some guy who managed to make a site, and got enough visitors and a high enough click through rate on his google ads to make $3 a day.
Essentially he chose a very specific niche in google,, 4 slice toasters for example (a key word which he researched and ensured it got at least 8K searches a month), bought the domain 4slicetoasters.com and then optimized his page around those key words. The idea being that if anyone search for that in google, his site would appear first.
He then duplicated this site, with different keywords 300 times. Making estimated $27K a month.
Sounds like a tall tale when I tell it here, but the forum post I read was a work in progress. When he first set up the post, he had 20 sites and was making about $180 a month or so.
I’m not doing all that well. I started up thinking so long as I don’t lose money, I’m ok. I can do the websites at work, so in essence, It’s not even costing me time, I’m gonna be at work anyway.
I’ve got only really 3 sites that make me money, and in 3 months, I’ve pulled in only £19.
Not great, but I’m working on the principle of invest a certain ammount (in my case £20 for domain names) and when I make that money back, I will invest more, hopefully make the money back quicker and it shoudl spiral up.
That’s the plan, so far my sites are in profit, I just need to make 1000 of them.
I can’t link to the post atm, at work, dodgy blackhat forum etc but if you guys would like links, I’ll link it up later.
