I’ve stopped playing 2142 for the mo as it is almost impossible to play with my greatly reduced FPS. Also It’s harder to wank in 2142, unless I’m being commander.
I am playing Far Cry (I know I’m behind the times) and Oolite (which is an updated version of Elite. I know I’m behind the times).
Guys, if LeGit’s annoying you all so much then you should just select ‘ignore posts by this user’ under settings. That’s what I’ve done with Wolf’s posts and it’s made my life soooooo much less stressful.
God I’m hilarious.
I must say that the times I’ve travelled in WET’s cab he was a calm, courteous and repectful driver. The trouble is that there are so many other complete wankers on the road who’ll blame everyone else for their own pitiful driving that sooner or later you’ll be in confrontation with somebody.
A couple of years back Cowboy stepped in after a big bloke actually pulled over infront of a little Indian lady who’d stalled her car and was yelling his head of at her. She’d stalled her car, she didn’t deserve that.
Actually now I think about it there was one time it WET’s cab when he was drinking Special Brew and mounted the kerb, running over a couple of old ladies. He got a bit vocal then, but was so pissed I had to dispose of the bodies.
He didn’t get a tip that night I can tell you.
Well since the last 2142 patch the game has become a 10fps nightmare on anything more than a 32 player conquest city map when I play it, so I’m actually considering this game. The trouble is though it’s even more removed from a contemporary FPS squad based game.
I’ll have to see what my upgrade budget’s going to be first…

Personally I reckon that the government should be trying to get more people on motorbikes, since they take up less space on the roads, use less fuel and look cooler than people on scooters.

I’ve got one of the older, corded Logitect MX510’s and it does me very nicely. A few configurable buttons and I’ve got it running on an ICE Mat, which offers pretty smooth performance. Had it 3 years without a problem.
Read through your PC stats there Fluffy and I don’t think I’m alone when I noticed there was one glaringly HUGE omission. No PC these days is komplete (see what I did there) without one of these:

I reckon that Spunker’s XDC tune featuring MC Stephen Hawking is a step in the right direction, although it’s definately lacking some kind of OOMPAH OOMPAH vibe.
If only we knew someone with appropriate tuba skillz…

I wish people would start making films that make war look like fun again. These days it’s all “oh god war’s horrid” and “blimey, war isn’t a barrel of laughs”. I remember when war used to be enjoyable. Look at the crazy antics in ‘Kelly’s Heroes’ or the thrilling fun of ‘Where Eagles Dare’.
Everyone likes war, even gay people, so why can we have more enjoyable war japery rather than all this seriousness? If they keep putting out all these negative war movies, eventually people will stop having wars altogether.
And where’s the fun in that?

I’d be up for an XDC meet oop North (i.e. other side of Milton Keynes) and we could have it around Wolf’s place. The stipulations are, however, that we must all wear black and have shaven heads and constantly make reference to ‘project mayhem’.
If any of your housemates wander in on our little gathering, we all go silent and stare whilst Wolf says “The Liberator who destroyed my property has realigned my perception”.

Because of the area I live in I’d just asumed he was going to rob someone but the pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together now!
