hahaha, i used to help run to some extent Cleists corp, as well as being a member of BoB in BNC for 4 years. i have played eve at its highest level and all the demands that go with it, alarm clock ops of waking up at 4 am to join a fleet, being on IRC while playing other games and then having an IRC emergency fleet notification and leaving the other game and loading up 3 eve clients and being in a fleet withing minutes.
i suspect that this convo has deviated somewhat from its original purpose and may be worth creating a new one in the gaming section :p

i have been tempted of late to return but with star wars coming out shortly i know that i will be playing that and will not play eve. besides, eve doesnt really hold anything new for that i havent done or want to do so it wouldnt hold my interest as much as it once did. it is still the best MMO and for me one of the best games ever.

if you see Max – run, hide and pray he hasnt seen you. although the chances are you are already dead so what the hell!!
i dont know what can be done about this, as if the spawn area is a smallish area it will become possible to camp it to buggery. it is infuriating though spawning in to get instantly killed. best thing i can think of is that there is an immunity for 2 seconds or until you move or something like that
lots of really good changes (in theory), will be interesting to see how these changes affect gameplay
there should be a donation from me as well. dont like using online banking – dont trust it one bit but hey 🙂

at least mine knew what i was like before we were together, so she has no excuse 🙂
i kow some people have great connections with Virgin, i did for 3 years. absolutely perfect, great speeds, no packet loss, super low pings. but since last october it has been atrocious, i have had engineers out on 6 occasions, we have had 1 upgrade installed in the local exchange and god knows how many calls to their call cnetre to report crap connection.
i wish it was like it was before as i never had any complaints but i have had enough over the past year. makes the whole online gaming experience a lot less enjoyable as a result.
