Anyways…. just say you are sorry wips and I will forgive you 😆😈 😈
Doc I don’t really have anything to add. You are massively over reacting to something trivial and given the sequence of posts and timings as I’ve explained I don’t feel I have anything to apologise for.
Your reaction and the fact that I’ve been called an ‘idiot’, ‘stupid’ and compared to Legit in the space of 3 of your posts says alot doc.
I could tell you the end of Moby Dick or Pride and prejudice and argue that you should have known all along………. they are over a hundred years old noob! Would that be right
Well yes, I would agree with that. Over time literature seeps into the public conscious through popularity, adaptations, references. The plot of the novel moves into the public domain. But this should never diminish the power of a good book. The fact that I know what happens at the end of Moby Dick would never put me off reading the novel because i know its strengths would lie in use of language and characterisation.

legit was quite rightly called a cock for doing exactly the same thing a month or two ago…..what’s changed?
Well doc, Legit revealed the end of one of the most hotly anticipated TV series in recent years just as it was airing on normal channels. Only people who would have seen it on the net would have known the ending. Knowing the interest shown in Heroes on this forum it was a silly and malicious thing to do.
I revealed the end of a fifty year old novel (an end incidently which is not a twist but anticpated through the book) which in the sequence of posts was written before Neon’s recommendation. That was unfortunate and had I seen Neons post I probably wouldnt have posted.
Given that the discussion of the plots of all books and films regardless of age is now off limits perhaps you would like to provide us with a list of those you have seen or read so we can all avoid the same forum faux pas and incurring the wrath of Doc?

I got more benefit from going from a Pentium 4 to a E6600 Core 2 Duo
The Pentium 4 with the ‘Netburst Cache’ was the biggest overhyped bollocks to justify their equally farsical pricing. The Core 2 Duo’s are fantastic in comparision until you get into the Extreme price range which gives you more bios option to tweak the CPU Voltages and FSB but not enough to warrant the premium they charge for them. Although with the new P35 socket just being released and their ability to provide the full 1333Mhz FSB and DDR3 Memory compatabilty you should start to see the extreme prices drop a bit in the next few months.
Those E6600’s clock like fook on air ( providing you have a decent HSF like Artic Freezer Pro 7) and I think you can pick them up now for under £100- absolute bargain.
Next………? 😆
Think I might dip me toes into this overclocking milarky seeing as I’ve got said E6600, an Asus Commando MB and the Freezer 7. Didn’t someone post a howto on overclocking recently? Or anyone know of a good online guide ?

ParticipantI’ve voted for both dedicated – this should give both servers a performance boost and allow us to be flexible with the games we run. Not so bothered about running 2 games on the same box simultaneously – esp if it means dropping the player slots down. 2 separate boxes should give us what we need. Assuming we can afford it.

ParticipantDoc I wouldn’t have posted had I seen neon’s post – he posted while I was writing. And i salute you if you managed to bang off an order to Amazon or pop down the book shop in the intervening 5 minutes between our posts. The book is as neon says a classic of the SF genre, its been around in print for about 50 years and been adapted at least 3 times in film, all versions of which retain the original ending (i think). I assumed, wrongly as it turns out, that discussing the ending in relevance to the likely plot rewrite in the latest remake would hardly be of consequence.

Participant😉 😀

ParticipantA decent novel, but lets see… hero dies at end of novel so Will Smith dies at end of mega bucks blockbuster movie? Erm not likely.
btw the Omega Man was adapted from this same novel and as we all know that had Charlton Heston in full NRA mode blasting the bejesus out of zombies will a sniper rifle, and doing the dirty with a foxy black chick with an afro. It doesn’t get much better than that.

PS, I reckon we can do 2 Dedicated Pro machines ?
Sounds good to me. If it means we can run anygame we like. We could also look at debranding the server of its Multiplay name and getting the Bugs logo up there on the loading screen 😀

ParticipantIts up to the RO boys – I don’t mind paying for a second server I never play on but I do mind paying for one thats not being used.

They’re apparently releasing an OFP resistance Mod for ArmA. Anyone wanna sell me their copy of ArmA?
So that will look like OFP resistance but play at 6fps. How about cutting out the middle man and just install the original? 😉
